Do I need the original CD
Its been 3 years since on. I am sure my account on server is poof.
How may I get back into the long lost family of discovery without CD or am I screwed.
Any helpfull info would be great.

As far as I know - characters that deleted for inactivity is gone forever. and 3 year is long enough. so it would ''hard'' to retrieve them back to you.
Welcome back, not sure if you need the original FL CD to play anymore, 4.86 is a different program as a whole, but I may be wrong as for whom to contact...I guess Cannon but I may be wrong.

You'll need a clean installation of the game, that is, one without any mods or changes. The Discovery mod uses the original game files plus it's own stuff when it makes the new installation of Discovery.
EDIT: But yeah, your chars are gone.
