hey there, name's steve. I've played freelancer since release, and have checked out a small handful of mods over the years. I just recently blew the dust off the *.img of FL i had stashed on a thumb drive and noticed this mod was a pretty popular one, with a decent number of people still cruising the star systems. I was a huge fan of the TNG mods mostly. As far as RP experience, never much on the computer gaming front, mostly some world of warcraft and PWI, but i never really played much in character. I was, however, a great fan of GURPS, shadowrun, vampire the masquerade, DnD, and most of all RIFTS. Not the title ripoff now mmorpg computer game, but the REAL rifts. Nothing in the world quite like a well played session of Rifts to make a week seem like eternity until next i strapped on my laser blaster and super samas suit. at any rate, 28 year old busy like crazy floor installer with a kid and another on the way. I play as often as the family and work will allow, and am just looking for a great time with an old friend FL.

//back in RP

Freelance pilot Claude of the Aunderis wasn't much to look at. An early twenties scrub of a youth, skinny as a rail with hair disheveled beyond any reasonable style. A matching goatie reminiscent of the beatnicks era was the only indication that the young man was even an adult at all. The transport he piloted, however, was no joke to his current employers; Ageira technologies. They had hired Claude to transport gate parts clear through Tau-23 before even meeting him face-to-face based solely on his references. Claude tooted a horn of always on time, never missed a delivery, hold-on-to-your pants piloting. He was the type of captain and pilot who made the smart play. Fight when fighting was the only way out, run when he could. Not that he couldn't fight. His parents sent him to Liberty navy flight school when he was just a boy, and was the ace of the class. When he graduated he was assigned to heavy recon patrols in the badlands of New York. If not for a completely twisted series of events he would probably still be doing just that. Call it a patrol gone bad, call it just plain old crummy luck, but the ambush that cost him his left eye and his boyish good looks left him the only survivor. Captured by Rogues he spent almost a year doing labor for the vagabonds. Sure that it was the only life he would ever again know without escaping, he did his best to try to be one of them. Eventually he was given a small mining ship and, with escort, was able to fly around a little bit and made a good name for himself as quite the pilot, doing so well they even started to pay him. He saved every credit, and found a travelling doc to replace his eye, and to hell with his boyish good looks. One fateful day there was an attack on the Rogues base, and he found his moment. Breaking into the armory with minimal resistance, as everyone was busy fighting the battle outside, he managed to steal a small fortune of weapons and supplies; boarded the fastest crate still docked and pushed the cruise engines until they reached near critical. A few weeks of floating and he was picked up by a passing Liberty patrol in the Colorado sector, and after some harrying questions about his last year was given a medal and the option to come back into the fold of Liberty Navy. He declined, stating that he had decided to be his own man; and thankfully they didn't blame him one bit. The intel he had provided of their infrastructure and patrols was enough to earn him a lifetime of severance pension and he used it to piece together a small freighter. Contract after contract he earned a name for safe and precise delivery of passengers and prisoners, mostly rogues whom he made the journey... interesting for. A rock solid performance record with skillful piloting and his military accolades got him in at Ageira and they funded his new ship. Not the prettiest boat in the sea, but certainly capable of transporting enough goods to fund his ventures. His new found wealth has been spent mostly updating his transport trains shields and engine, as well as the newest in prototype military optics for his cybernetic eye. Patient and resourceful, he funds the small group of miscreants he has met along the way and hopes to someday lead a private mercenary force dedicated to the rescue of pilots and whatever other whimsy comes their way.

//oorp I will soon introduce other members of the band, known as SpitFyre *surgical precision interstellar transport* but for future claims i hope nobody has these names for ships. Artemis, Alerion, Aeonis, and Gunstar will all be featured soon as i make some mad credits and figure out who/what their allegiance prestory will be. Also, looking for a faction/clan/crew to join i fly a pretty mean fighter, as well as transporting goods. I have good patience, willing to team play, and even though I'm new to discovery mod I learn quickly ie reputations, ship locations, hardpoints etc. but at least one of the characters, probably gunstar will be of *ahem* dubious beginnings and willing to RP with some pirates/outlaws. Aunderis, Alerion, and Artemis will probably all be of lawful beginnings *well obviously Aunderis already is* and Aeonis is the random card for now. So, any facs need a lawful transport and possibly escort or fighter lookup Aunderis, Alerion, and Artemis... any facs needing an ace-kicking rocket slinging pew pew machine for the more darker and devious side of the law look up Gunstar and possibly Aeonis. and its pronounced A oh nus. if you call me anus i will shoot you with a torpedo. i swear to god.

End transmission.
