I am not able to play online right now and want to play SP to check out different ships, etc. I find that I can mine ore but there are not any good prices in SP. Is this intentional or is there a file I need to adjust? It makes building up money harder, but it's not a major issue. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Ore prices are set with FLHook which is serversided thingie.

If your doing SP to play the campaign then sorry it's a FLhook thing. If you simply want to try all sorts of ships you can edit your offline character to whatever you want. Don't try editing server chars, it will upset the server.
use "cash 100000" to give yourslf money, whatever value you use is the money you'll have
