The Gallic Council has finally set up their list of regulations and code of conduct they want to enforce in space controlled by themselves. These set of laws are accessible HERE.

The initial idea is to have a two week grace period, during which only warnings are given out. The first week of it is intended for occasional modifications in case feedback indicates it's neccessity. The last week of the grace period is to go without any modification, and is intended to only serve as an additional week during which people will further aknowledge and familiarize it.

Feedback is welcome about occasional misspellings, language advices, mistakes in context or content, or about the lack of any in some cases. Feedback containing a request for major changes will be considered too.
No feedback/comments from the community at all?
Well. Only that some laws seems ripped off word to word. At least they are easy to understand.

Great work overall.
Good work.... More laws to break ^^

Nice link to a double post.

PS. Your sig... lol.

Feedback:
- Article II, point 1.1. Kusarese -> Kusarian.

- Why do you prevent piracy when your allies are people like the Brigands and Maquis? I assume there's a loophole when Royalist-friendly ships show up in Council space.

... That's all I spotted after a quick first read. Seems fine otherwise.
Yippeee laws.

though this seems unreasonable
Quote:§2: "Lolwut" infectees may be escorted out of Council Space as The Council neither wants nor is able to cure them because of the lack of neccessary tools and free time to do so. If the infectee refuses to leave Council Space, the well known laser-cure is to be utilized.

Also your ID is open, so I should allow indie Council to enforce laws as well.

Noted, will fix. - Done

Gallia is big, Sirius is bigger. It is unlikely that they will pirate in those 3 almost empty systems, plus the vicinity of 3 other bases, where like no traders wander besides the ones belonging to The Council, The Maquis or the Brigands. I might add a warning or order to stop as a first step against piracy. - Done

Depending on the case, this point could be executed only if reasoning is ineffective, and thus deemed neccessary. Might edit wording to include this. - Done

Thought arisen in me for allowing them only to warn, and report to officials in case of resistance met. Have to discuss with HC first. - Full scale law enforcement is allowed for indies as well
Other planned modifications:
  • Slightly altering the wording of III/§6 - Done
  • Removal of III/§7.2 to avoid occasional hypocricy;)- Done
  • Restructuration of the base administration system - Pending
Consider simplifying it. Take GRN & Liberty law for example, it is far easier to read.

Great portion of these laws are based on the Liberty laws, maybe on the old Gallic laws too. The new Gallic charter looks to be oversimplified, or at least looked like that last time I looked at them. Many stuff it didn't cover, and was vague about many other. I wanted to avoid that.

Edit: Aye, the Gallic charter didn't change much since then.
Seeing these laws after the remake of the Gallic laws makes me have to comment. Though you cover quite a lot, it's annoying to read sentence after sentence while a simpler one line law could do the trick. You don't need to cover everything in the laws as well. That could restrict RP later on.
