Hi folks, I am unsure about the mechanics regarding survey accuracy. Yes, I have read the guides.
From experience I can tell jumps don't always place you in the same place, and the higher the survey accuracy, the closer you are to the survey point on average. However, will a jump spawn you into a planet or sun?
What can I do to increase safety and efficiency of my surveys? Do I take them right after undocking, so the survey point is right there, or should I take it some distance off? Particularly regarding planets, how do I avoid crashing into them?
Thanks.
