A Chance at Freedom
Background
For a few years now Liberty has been encroaching on the freedoms many Zoners have enjoyed in the Pennsylvania system. This has lead many to begin migrating from planet Erie into the Omegas and Omicrons. Omicron Supply Industries, in an effort to build Gran Canaria's industrial strength and expand their own business in the same has offered to assist 50,000 to 75,000 Zoners on Erie migrate to Gran Canaria.
Not having the resources to move all of the immigrants themselves, OSI plans to contract what it cannot handle out to third parties. Many of Nichols Trade Center's cargo warehouses will be converted into temporary housing until permanent housing planet side can be arranged for the immigrants. The immigrants will be given information on their new home in Omega 49 and be given training on the jobs that are needed to boost Canaria's industrial strength.
The Event
September 14th thru 17th
This is a trade event; pure and simple. The trader side will pick up Passengers from Erie and move them down to Nichols Trade Center in Omega-49. The slaver/pirate side will hunt these traders and attempt to cargo pirate them for their Passengers; they will then sell their living loot to Bazard in Magellan (big thanks to Jeni for letting me borrow the base!). Nichols will be locked down to only allow registered traders to dock - if you don't register you don't get to participate!
Nichols will buy the Passengers off traders for 5000 credits a pop. Nichols will also have in stock either Uncut Diamonds, Cobalt Ore, or Helium-3 for the return trips.
Bazard will buy Passengers off the slavers/pirates for 1 credit. In order to claim your 5000 credit reward per head you will have to post screens of your piracy of a registered trader along with a screen of you selling them on Bazard. I don't like this, but I have to do it to protect myself from people trying to rob me blind as I am footing the bill for this entire event.
I will also be paying 5 million credits per destroyed slaver/pirate to security agents who register to participate in this event. I reserve the right to withhold payment for security agents if I think they were working with slavers/pirates to rob me. This is valid on any slaver/pirate who attacks the trader or trade group you are registered to protect as long as they are hauling Passengers. I will require time stamped proof of the pirate's death and a screen of one of the traders you registered to protect's cargo hold; the screens need to be within a small time frame of one another (minute or two).
The event will end when the total number of Passengers on Nichols and Bazard is between 50k and 75k or above. I will check stocks regularly during the four day period. I do not expect the event to last more than a day or two, but who knows.
Participation
This event is open to everyone on the server, but there is a registration process:
-To participate as a trader in this event you must register in role play here.
-To participate in this event as a slaver/pirate you must register in this thread; all I need is your in game ship name (if the ship name registered doesn't match the one that appears in your screens you don't get paid).
-To participate as a security agent in this event you must register in this thread; I need your ship name and what trader or trade group you will be protecting.

Other Information
Cannon has agreed to remove the sale points for the Passenger commodity sold on Erie from everywhere else in the game. During the time of the event you will only be able to get this commodity from Erie. I can't thank him enough as it helps minimize the chance people have to try to rob me.
Depending on the success of this event I will likely do more and I will try to contact the leaders of other trade factions to work with them to set other (non Zoner) stuff up and help with funding if required.
