Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts.

The Beginning.
I noticed that someone is looking for an escort and I've always wanted to roleplay one.
So I got a used junky Starflier and named all my ships that will replace it - The.Sentinel - and contacted the player who requested an escort. Soon I found that my dream of roleplaying will not come true just today. I this time heading to our destination, LD-14.was really trying to. Playing a civilian ship - getting the shiniest pulse and civilian laser weaponry (starbeams) as in the rumors, I hooked up with shadowbrother88. All went well, until the point at which he stated his intentions.
The marked sentence was a turning point for me and I decided to bite him a bit, too. Eh, trust, betrayal ... that makes sense among gentlemen. I decided to play between the lines ... the ones set by rules and the ones set by my 'employer'. Especially after he bluntly explained what he's really after.
That was it. I wanted to sell him out to pirates for more than just 30 pieces of silver.
As soon as I found out where we're going - not a big surprise - I tried to contact anyone I could, but my first attempt was successful already. Jonas_Happy from Leeds was surely waiting for such an opportunity.
I managed to delay shadow enough for the trap to be prepared, just after we jumped into Magellan.
He was busy shooting everything that moved. All I hoped for was that he doesn't run out of targets too quickly. He mentioned his age, 15. (In the beginning I was suggesting that a transport pilot must be a bit older than that, but we're beyond roleplay now.) When I got the signal that they're ready, we moved on.
We were ambushed as planned, right after jump to the Leeds system. The piratey requests were transmitted and then they exchanged fire.
My employer was trying to get to Planet Leeds, Jonas's Armored Transport didn't aim too well and his associate was a bit clumsy with the cruise disruptor and we made it to Leeds. I was still playing an innocent civilian and didn't fire a single shot, only tossed a few randow scared messages.
The Percheron has then finished repairs, resupplied its backup batteries and nanobot supplies and launched. The A.T. was still there. Here we go again, fireworks.
Jonas was gaining the upper hand.
And shadow retreated again.
This time he was heading to our destination, LD-14. And we made it.
That didn't shake Jonas off our six, though.
After an intermezzo at Stokes smelter where he reloaded supplies and tried to take the pirate down again, he turned around and went back where he came from. Wherever that was. We loaded some Beryllium and headed back. Back using the same dangerous route. This time, it proved to be a bad mistake. At least for my employer.
Lane Hacker gunship commanded by Moriarty, the rumored Lane Hacker boss, has intercepted us as we entered the Barrier, trespassing into their territory.
Shadow was lagging like hell and that's why he got all the way to Freeport 4.
And then he re-entered the Barrier, possibly trying to retreat to Manchester. That was his last, fatal mistake.
The Hackers hit him hard.
I was a small fish to catch, and so I docked with Freeport 4 and ordered a strong drink.
That's all, folks.
