I was wondering if you could mount nomad turrets ( bought from order planet in O-minor. ) on any transport ship. Like the container transport or a bohemoth?

There are three types of nomad turrets - gunboat (class 8), cruiser (class 9), and battleship (class 10).
Transports of all types can only mount class 7 weapons.

Why would a trader ever need Nomad turrets? Seems way to OORP to for an answer to be required.

and just because something is unusual doesnt mean it's going to be OoRP.
Simple scenario - a scientist has a transport class research vessel, and is trying to adapt nomad technology for use on human vessels. Over time he starts replacing his own ship's guns with nomad energy nodes that can fire bursts on demand, and function as powerful but experimental weaponry.

hmmm...thanks, and I wasn't going to have him go gunho on nomad weapons. It wouldn't have been oorp.
