Destroyer - Linkus - 09-14-2008
I took one of my earlier vessels and redid it to make this. It draws on a few different sources but is in itself unique.

Now I am having issues with the front of the ship. I'm unsure whether or not to keep the parts that jut out horizontally from it. Without them, it looks like this:

I was thinking of a private development. The idea behind it being that there are many civilians out there with wealth but little help to back it up. Most could bring 20 fighters to a fight say but with nowhere to command from, things get a bit risky etc.
It's long slim profile suits asteroid fields etc quite well so it could be Zoner affiliated. Designed to better converse the fields than the lumbering Battlestars etc.

Mhm... It kinda looks inline with Jinx's Order and Zoner capships... Perhaps the new independent cruiser... 165K of armor, 8 turrets, and agility similar to the Kusari one?

It looks sweet.
I reckon it should have insanly powerful shields and a realy strong hull.
But it only has say 4 guns and they do bugger all damage.
basically make it a real civi ship.
Ok sorry, any way its a real nice ship.

I'd support stronger armour and less weapons for it, if it is civilian.
(Shields are same for all Cruisers yes?)

It needs to be dammed hard to kill, but allmost no guns.
The only Cruised I'd ever buy.

Why should a civilian ship have strong defences? It's supposed to have lower quality and technology than a military vessel. I'd say, give it 7-8 guns, low armor, but make it compact and fast, reflecting the low mass and volume by it's reduced armor.
Edit: Not to mention, the model looks light and fragile, not a super-armored beast.
