Not sure if this is the right place to put this but awell....

Basically, I'm just wanting to know the process a nomad undertakes to infest/possess a human being. From reading various RP stories amongst other random things, I know the the Nomad is -inside- the human once he/she is infested, but what else happens to that person? Like, does that person undergo some sort of genetic change as well during infestation similar to the outcasts when they first landed on Malta? Or is it more like a Goauld thing (or however you spell it) from stargate, where the human body becomes dependent on the Nomad inside it and cannot survive if it's removed? (Without genetic changes)

Just wondering because I was thinking of a pretty unique RP character this morning, and while atm I don't have the time in making it, I would like to eventually.

Soo yeah, enlighten me please.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and if it's NOT like the goauld thing, if the nomad is removed from the body, what becomes of the human host?

I think it is a bit like Stargate, although I have never seen or heard of a Nomad being removed. So I dont have a frame of refrence for any physical or psychological dependencies that the host might expierance.

AYe, I'd like to know a little more about this also.

Basically its as you said, that the human becomes under its control, the human mind is simply locked away, and is forced to watch. i shall quite, that your body is under anothers control, you are its host, someone may cut your eyes open with a knife, but you shall not make a sound or move a muscle without it allowing you to.

Since the brain and eyes are gone the body would die so yeah. Bye bye nomad = Bye bye body.

How it gets in there though...

Aunno but i'm guessing mouth?

Ugh you just made me think of those headcrab thingies from Alien v Predator.. Open wide! :P

Ok, so there's no genetic transformation of the human body during nomad infestation, and there's no way to remove the nomad once it's in you. Yes?

EDIT (again..): Alright, I know I'm getting specific now but how about this.. You walk into a room. You see your best friend with a Nomad on his head getting infested (AH MA GAD!!!). In desperation (and before it goes inside him) you shoot the Nomad/rip it off his head/just get it off him and kill it. The infestation process was interuppted/half complete. What then?

i would think it would be a way that doesn't damage the host body. something like an injection of parasitic microscopic "embryos" or something. Moving through the bloodstream throughout the body, where they would grow, feeding off the host body in a symbiotic relationship but the difference would be the Nomad cells assume control as they spread through the brain.

i would imagine removing such things would be extremely difficult but not impossible.

where did you hear that from? i'm not accusing, i'd just like to know myself. i'm familiar with the singleplayer but it never mentions much about the nomad physiology or their abilities. i always saw them as organic machines and assumed they were firmly rooted in the physical world.

i would imagine if it were a simple "phase" in situation that the nomads would be much more widespread and the wilde would be a much larger threat over a larger area

Is it possible that a Human with a high IQ and more controll over his brain than other humans can defend his mine against a nomad and the nomad cant gert the full controll over the body?I mean a human dosnt use his full brain capacity at one time and a human who is able to use more parts of his brain at one time could be a problem for a nomad. or not?
