First off, I am very pleased to see that freighters were buffed. Very pleased.
Now for my questions to people: I've heard that 1vs1 a freighter might even have an edge over VHFs now, but how do they fair versus other ships? Can a LF take them out with ease? Easy to SNAC on with a bomber? Is a group of freighters better or worse than a group of VHFs against gunboats? While certainly not as good as a bomber, are freighters better at (solo) pirating than VHFs?

vs LF - hard to say, if freighter has mines+cd he might be hard to kill
eating SN - obviously they are big
group of freighters VS GBs... generally worse, vs transports they might be better.
for pirating - yes, though it depends what VHF you talk about, but they have similar firepower and can carry off the spoils if needed.

I like freighters class. But I don't know why they have ugly stats(except Junker Turanic Raider freighter). I test with my friend freighters(like Dromedary(with CAUVIII)..) against VHF(Sabre,Titan). Dromedary can't kill VHF, but sometimes my fiend do mistakes(and I win). When i test Turanic freighter(wow, cool stats)I always win. And question... Why Dromedary and Turanic Raider freighter cost ~2.300.000, but stats of Dromedary very lowered on comparison Turanic freighter?

Turanic is a remnant of previous mod version and was not nerft, because some players had them in service and lvl 10 weapons mounted. Thats why we have not lowered the weapon classes. I would like to see Turanic and Anki (Kushan) in a line with other freighters. They are a bit uber at the moment.
Freighters are not meant to be a superiority craft in average hands, but they can be dangerous in experienced hands. Main reason to buff them, was to make all of them useful, so not every roleplayer who wants a freighter had to take Camara or Turanic. Keep in mind, they are still freighters to haul cargo in the first place.
They were balanced not to have a real advantage to any other combat vessel class. Nevertheless, they are a challange for their owners as well as for any possible opponent.
The Dromedary has biggest holdsize of all freighters (650). Thats why it sacrifices armour and weaponclasses. Well, for me the Dromedary is a mark of Zoner so i imagined, it rather would have more holdsize in compensation for weaker offensive and defensive capabilities. You can consider it a defensive freighter, while Turanic is an offensive freighter, but with lesser holdsize (500).
All other buffed freighters are in between. Only CSV, Mule, Rhino and one HW freighter were kept low end to work as beginner vessels. I hope Liberty will also get a buffed Rhino Mk II in 4.86.

The holdsize of the vanilla AT sets the limit. Its the very first transport in holsize. All others below are freighters. I can be wrong and a decision to set freighter limit to 1000 passed me. I was not active for a long time.

They are a bit uber at the moment.I understand, but 5.000 hull, and 8lvl guns are too big looses for better cargo hold: litte 150 units. I like too see Dromedary are Zoner ship. This is mean it fly in most dangerous places edge, border worlds when a lot of pirates and other guys why want get money, life's and fun. I have other thinks, Zoners need more defensive. Maybe do a little upgrade for Dromedary like guns 9lvl, and hull 10000 units?

I think better do Turanic and Dromedary uber-freighters. Kushan looks sucks and better keep it for newbies... Because Turanic and Dromedary accessible almost for all.

They did, the Grizzly frieghter/shuttle, made by Jinx. And wasnt the turanic replaced by the Junker CSF?
