Your charity program is a most noble pursuit, and it meets with Planetform's approval, at least in principle. Given the nature of your affiliation, we are quite understandably unable to provide funding assistance for your efforts. Instead, the Board has authorized me to assist you with point 2 of your plan. To that end, Planetform has set aside a large nature preserve on Planet Anaheim to allow these animals to live in a natural environment, free from ownership, exploitation, or experimentation, until such time as the Gallic terrorists currently infesting the Edinburgh system (and the one planet in all of Sirius we can't possibly improve on) are permanently expelled and the wildlife can be returned to their natural environment.

In addition, a large number of Gaian animals were relocated to Harris during the Gallic occupation as part of their attempt to restart the stalled terraforming project there. The environment on Harris, even after terraforming is completed, is unsuitable for Gaian wildlife, and we require assistance transporting them off world to the wildlife refuge on Anaheim. Planetform will compensate any pilot who assists us in this endeavor. Ms. Velasquez, can we count on your organization to not interfere in these efforts?

Your message is indeed clear, and it's exactly what I've come to expect from a Gaian. In short, it's a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Nonetheless, this is a public channel, so there may still be a teachable moment to be had in all this. Normally, I'd conduct this by pretending you're a student at Cambridge, but most University students have already proven their intelligence and interest in the subject by the time they've received their first Geoengineering lecture. Since you have done neither, I'll instead go forward as if I were addressing a recalcitrant politician.

Let's break this down by line, shall we?

Yes. EFL's "terraforming experts" understood correctly the need to complete the work of building Harris' new biosphere. Those bumbling amateurs completely dropped the ball when choosing what life to transplant, to the detriment of both the planet itself and the animals they relocated. We're in the process of fixing their errors now and getting the project back on track.

If you had bothered to pay attention to the news, or learn anything about your "enemy" at all, you'd know that we completed work on Anaheim last year. The planet's biosphere and ecology are fully stabilized and self-sustaining with no further external inputs from us. Anaheim's ecology is the perfect environment for Gaia's subarctic life, which is why we chose to use them on this project. For animals originally from Gaia's temperate or tropical regions, we can enclose a large preserve to keep them in something more closely approximating their natural environments until such time as they can be returned to Gaia. We have no interest in running a zoo, or in keeping animals in unsuitable environments.

I believe you answered your own question here. We did not transfer Gaian life to Harris, that was all EFL's work. As to why, though, the terraforming process includes the introduction of life to construct a viable biosphere. As you'd already know if you hadn't slept through your science classes in school, a planet's biosphere helps regulate the global environment. In short, you can't craft a life-bearing world without introducing life to help shape it, and progressively more complex life is introduced as the ecology matures.

On this point, at least concerning EFL, we concur. If you want an example of why, fly up to Amiens and see what they did to it, and compare with Planetform's more professional work. At least we don't import massive amounts of gasoline and set it on fire to warm up a planet, like EFL is doing on Metz. I assume they're doing it to release carbon into the atmosphere, but I wouldn't put it past them to think that the fire is warming up the planet... There's a reason that amateurs shouldn't do terraforming work.

In other words, we're offering a viable solution to at least one of your goals, but you aren't interested because it's Planetform. You're fanatics of the worst kind, and it's threats like this, in front of God and everybody, that expose you for exactly what you are. If your goal is to see these animals returned to Gaia at the earliest opportunity, you'd do well to stop shooting at my people and instead focus on helping the BAF evict the Enclave from Edinburgh.
