Repair ship idea? - atlantis2112 - 05-25-2009 I have yet to see one of these. Perhaps we could make some incentive to get one? Maybe make it so that there is a special class of gun/turret that can deal "negative damage" to a target (not sure if this is possible) and repair the ship? I'm just thinking how in Star Trek:Armada there were these nifty little repair ships that buzzed around and shot tractor beam-like things that healed ships. Discuss? Repair ship idea? - Sprolf - 05-25-2009 I think the problem with this is when you repair something with full health, the health goes into the negative ranges and effectively destroys the ship. If we had these weapons out there, we would have people destroying ships in two hits. It would be brilliant if it could be implemented, but as far as I know, it can't due to the aforementioned reasons. One of the more serious ones would be it couldn't repair hull when the shield was up if I recall. Repair ship idea? - jenya - 05-26-2009 make a bot/bat missile turret: if you have been damaged, itll fix you. if you have full hull and full shields, itll just drop bots/bats, and you can tractor them back Repair ship idea? - Cris - 05-26-2009 the problem with the actual repair ship is that it requires to make a trade request accept and etc etc, precious time is wasted there so the idea of this repair beam would be cool, but maybe via server command the repair ship could send bots/bats to the damaged ship fo its use adn whatever excedent would be jettisoned, destroyed, etc... We need Repair ships do not drop shields after jettisoning if that is the case. Otherwise, unfortunate things happen. Shields go down, 300 bots are jettisoned, Repair ship takes a massive beating, enemy sucks up the bots with their tractor beams (Some, have lightning fast B fingers. I've seen, its impressive).
