Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - Lump Lorry - 11-30-2009 I got the idea of this poll after reading this thread: Any lawful's left in Disco?, all i see are pirate's I really think that some violation of a reasonable RP are the result of too weak NPCs. I have seen many pirates just standing in front of Fort Bushed, camped there to wait some traders. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel it is not reasonable from an RP point of view that pirates camp in front of port bush: it is supposed to be one of the strongest Liberty Fortress. If pirates would be able to stand there just ignoring lawfulls, as if they were mosquitos, why do they not overcome liberty and install some kind of dictatorship? They could even change it's name to Pirate's Haven, don't you thnk so? Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - Caelum - 11-30-2009 In my opinion, ideally, -NPCs in random places in open space would be pretty weak (think like they are now perhaps) -NPCs in random places in open space wouldn't have CDs because of the ZOMGIHAETCD!!!!11 effect -NPCs at inhabited planets, space stations, guard systems, etc would be stronger, including capital ships, and space stations with the insane-golden-whatever-it-shoots-that-keeps-downing-my-bomber's-shields thing. Though, didn't stations already get buffed pretty big-time? EDIT: And yes, I was, in fact, talking about all npcs here. Not just lawful ones. Then again, I'm biased. Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - barrenwzste - 11-30-2009 I'm not voting, but I will say this. I fought a pc cruiser, with a bomber, in front of pitsburgh docking ring, while being blasted by ten or twelve Navy and Bh npc types......I lost, but it took them a long time to get me, and the navy and bh types didn't do squat to me. Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - Not Espi - 11-30-2009 seriously. there should be flight schools around sirius. experienced pilots as lecturers, and passing of tests should be needed for career improvement in factions. people need to learn to fly smaller craft. Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - barrenwzste - 11-30-2009 *shrug* My biggest fighting ship is a bomber. When every other joker isn't flying a cap, I'll give up my bomber and only fly lf's and heavies. Untill then, bombs away! Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - jxie93 - 11-30-2009 I can just imagine masternerdguy clicking on the "I'm just here for PVP" option. NPCs are rather random, sometimes there are OMFGBBQ bomber patrols which spam SNACs at you and other times a couple of starfleas whizzing around you. Moral: FL AI is retarded. Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - Akura - 11-30-2009 NPC bombers? Outside of Gallia? That would be nice. Other than that, too piss weak ^_^ Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - Lump Lorry - 11-30-2009 ' Wrote:I can just imagine masternerdguy clicking on the "I'm just here for PVP" option. Maybe AI is retarded, but at least for Liberty, and especially NY, that are the central node of the game universe, something to strenghtend the lawfull NPCs should be done and if it will be done also RP would be improved. Are lawfull NPCs far to weak? - ... kur nubÄ—go? - 11-30-2009 Someone forgat to mention bs/cruisser/missilespamming gb's encounters in lawful houses. So I say they are fine. You can set the NPC spawn rate in core house systems to as high as you want. But the reality is, when the player cap hits 150 none of NPCs will exist anymore. |
