Final Fantasy XIII - sempai17 - 03-13-2010

So,

I pre-ordered FFXIII from GameStop for the 360. I got a faceplate and 10% off of the strategy guide. I was planning to go to the midnight release... but I was tired from work, and I didn't need it THAT quickly. But then again... I could have seen a pretty cute girl in a pretty short skirt... but I digress...

Thus far, I'm thoroughly enjoying the game. I put it on my 52" LCD TV with VGA inputs. Bose surround sound. I turn it on... *tear* so beautiful!

I'm about 6-7 hours into it. and about now, I'm wondering when I'll get back into a real town, if I do at all!

so gents and ladies, if you have, what do you think?

I didn't even know it was out yet. Not a fan of what "RPG" games have become. You're no longer given a choice at what role you want to play and are simply forced along a single path.

I'm not not sure about this new game. See I gave up on the series after playing as Cloud and then later on as Titus(?). On the flip side the new online version is in beta mode now so I pre-order it for PC. Check out the newest online version here: FFXIV

By watching all the "preview" movies shown to sell FFXIII, I wasn't impressed at all with the storyline. Sure the graphics look great, but what's the point of playing a solo console game if your a rebel group of fighters against a huge army with no giant sword (Clouds) or hot Lulu to watch cast Flare over & over?. Sounds like SquareSoft is repeating the same story over & over to me. For once couldn't we play as an officer in the giant evil army bent on taking over the world? God that would be fun (thinks back to the beginning of FFII).

Please let us know if this game is was worth it's price tag.
Peace.

Never got into Final Fantasy Games

Have lots of friends who been dying to play this. Proboblly will hear about it next week after Spring Break is over. Would be interesting, it has been receiving mixed reviews, mostly good though.

What's the last FF game available on PC? (Not MMORPG, as my connection would most likely not be able to handle it- don't evey try)

If you can find a copy, the only non MMOPRG version of Final fantasy to hit the PC is seven.

That's no bad thing the game is epic, but getting it may take some serious skills at internet searching. Rocking horse poo is the quip that comes to mind.

The trailer reminds me of a bad Soap.

The only two Final Fantasy games released for the PC were FF7 and FF8, but you'll be hard pressed to find them. They go for $80-$120 on ebay and amazon now. Luckily, I have both.:D

8 was released for the PC? Wow never knew that. My FF-fu is not as strong as I thought it was.

But still, rocking horse poo. As in very very rare.
