What makes a good Destroyer? - alance - 08-26-2007
I'm looking at starting a Merc character and am aiming to get him into a DD due to their price range and cargo capacity for the most part. Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of the 4(?) DDs in the game? I'm not looking for the pwner of all ships, I'm looking for versatility and "cool" factor as well.

Outcast destroyer.
Has the power and the turns well compared to other destroyers, hull strength is lower but it makes up for it.

I noticed it had a lot more hardpoints than the others but that doesn't always = good ship. I want to use this ship to raid shipping, haul contraband, escort other ships... much variety hopefully.

Raid Shipping? Sorry mate, can't do that in a destroyer. I suggest looking in to a gunboat if you want to do that.

Yes and please go discover for yourself. Although asking questions is a sign of intelligence... it's annoying. Go right a daily log RP thread if you haven't already. Go around and test the ships a bit. It's far more fun that way.

you need something with good power and hull and good turning there are only 2 or maybe ships like this lib cruiser, outcasts destroyer, bounty hunter destroyer.

I prefer the RH-Cruiser. But it is not a DD.
Anyway you need experience and skill to handle it.
