Installing Mod On Vista Operating System - Ocampo - 11-26-2010

I have been trying to install and make the mod work on my Windows Vista Computer for the past 3 hours, and it is not working. I have been on Skype talking with friends and we can't seem to get it to work just right.

Now, I am able to see the server and the current amount of players on the Main Server and all variations of the mod.

When i click on the server it tell me I can not connect with the server. Now can someone please help out with that.

Thanks

I suspect that your problem lies in firewalls or IPv6.

Also, what anti-virus are you running?

I am running AVG, and shut down the standard windows firewall

Are you running mod manager as an admin? With Vista, basically anything you do has to be done running as Admin.

Anyone have any ideas I can try out?

install fl and mods, THEN install the antivirus. <so technically at this point you're going to have to do a fresh install anyway>

It may sound weird, but it seemed to work for me. (however I went from AVG to Avira by in this order... install AVG, install freelancer, uninstall AVG, install Avira)

Uninstall AVG, install AVG, when it prompts you to pick standard or advanced installation, pick advanced. When it wants you to pick which components to install, uncheck all except the 'base' of AVG, none of the extras.
