Osprey Resize - Dane Summers - 02-02-2012 ' Wrote: This was taken from a thread about VHF size. With the Osprey, while it is a beautiful ship, its lacking in performance ability - its very large, has a core of 10,400, and armor of 10,200. It also has more weapons then it needs for a core of its size, while the agility is mediocre. My suggestion - drop the single class 9 extra gun, and shrink the size to more fall in line with ships like the Eagle, Ravens Talon etc. No core buffing, no agility buffing, no armor buffing. Just drop a gun, and shrink the size a bit. What do you think? Osprey Resize - Stygian - 02-02-2012 I'll agree with you that the Osprey could use a slight shrink. However, I think the 7 guns are fine. Its already slow. The 7 guns kinda balance that out. Osprey Resize - Dane Summers - 02-02-2012 Depends on the guns your using really - Fury's, the base zoner gun, while they aren't as energy inefficient as they were, still consume a lot. The core is a bit small for four to five furys going at once, adding in debs or so. Other guns would be more energy efficient, but with the technerfs, choices have become considerably limited in nerf-free weaponry. Plus, everything is compromise. The osprey doesnt need to be a Sabre, but its a bit too large - I believe you give a little to get a little, and while keeping the extra gun would be ok with me, I don't mind giving it up to see an improvement in the ships overall performance. Osprey Resize - Othienka - 02-02-2012 I'm 110% okay with the resize, as long as its balanced with the rest of its stats Osprey Resize - Govedo13 - 02-02-2012 I killed 2-3 in my Titan- the ship is fine but for such kind of heavy VHF 12k core is must, together with adding 1000-1500 more hull points. I would say boost its core and keep the rest- so it could support 7 guns. It is heavy VHF with light (eagle) VHF powercore and amour. Osprey Resize - Dusty Lens - 02-02-2012 The following post is to save 90% of the following commenters the time and trouble of typing a response, simply find the one that best suits your trolling needs and ctrl c ctrl v: There's no reason for the Zoners to have a combat worthy ship maybe if they wanted one thats the size of the model as it was submitted It's perfectly balanced against who they should be fighting (no one) I think the ship is fine besides if they don't like it they can fly the Eagle well if I make it too good every merc will be flying one I once flew one and killed 18 ships in it with no armor on using nothing but a mini razor and my swinging cod so I don't think there's an issue maybe learn how to fly well if we buff it we'll need to buff the Titan as well so I don't think that's a good idea. That all being said. For goodness sake the ship didn't need to be as left behind as it was. I can practically hear Mjolnir chortling in the dev chat as he borked the poor thing. Osprey Resize - ... kur nubÄ—go? - 02-02-2012 Keep all guns/turrets, stats and shrink the size a bit. That would be all, imo Osprey Resize - Taneru - 02-02-2012 The Prosecutor in that comparison is the one prior to Update 3, which was also larger than the current one. So, the Osprey also has a size disadvantage. That being said, I don't think a resize would be the ideal way of balancing it, but rather an agility buff. I can't really see Zoners making a purely military craft, but an agile high-performance ship? Sure. Osprey Resize - Captain - 02-02-2012 no offence, but I think the ship is as fine as it is atm, I personally like it. |
