i know this is a spoiler question so when u dont want to spoil the discovery part , dont read
my question is simpel when plaing the normal freelancer evryone know eagle is thebest in pvp fight
is this the sameon discovery
if no , wish one is ?
considder that u they need 6/1
2 lvl 9 weps
4 lvl 10 weps
1 turret (fergot the lvl)
9900 armor
it needto be very mobile (wish makes eagle the best in the original freelancer)
at least

There is no "best" in any ship class- there might be a worst, but most of them are specialized toward the way you fight.
For example, the Titan- if you joust it, you are probably dead. It can tank you, it has the armor to do so. However, it can't turn too much- making it a problem fight against elite light fighters and even Sabres.
The Sabre, having even more forward firepower due to the way the turret swings, has a smaller powerplant, a smaller hitbox, and larger maneuvering- when you fly it, take advantage of your agility and don't go against someone head on, since you will likely die first because of the lower armor. Go at them from the sides, and keep out of their frontal firing arc.
Both could be considered the "best" fighter for different reasons. Personally I like the Sabre and Eagle better, but I can fly most ships competently. Go with what feels right- startup OpenSP and try them, and go with what you like.
Welcome to Discovery, by the way. You might want to read through the server rules three or four times, and realize that this is a roleplaying server- PvP is secondary to RP, and you should fly whatever ship fits the faction you choose. Consider the LPI as a good official faction to start with, we're friendly and well-loved.

Ok, simple answer:
IMO the talon is the best VHF for firepower, since it can slap on 6 class 10 guns, whereas others are stuck with 4 class 10's / 2 class 9's.
It isnt much for manuverability though.

i don t think one can point a finger at some ships and say "its the best". - not even by the stats its possible. it depends to some extend on the pilot ( pilots fly better in ships they like - regardless of the stats ) - and of course it depends on what you fly against.
then there is the aspect of not "really" matching hitboxes aswell as mismatching equipment.
- the eagle is *among* the best VHFs. one point about it is that its a "generic" ship and can - if used that way - be equipped with a huge variety of weapons and equipment. its agile, but rather on the larger side of ships.
- the sabre for example is great at strafing and has an extra weapon ( turret ). but if you re not a strafing type of pilot, you won t make too much use of that feature.
- the blood dragon ( its marked as a HF, but is in fact a VHF ) is a great ship, - however, it must be equipped with rather weak blood dragon weapons - that puts this fine little ship into balance with others.
- the Manta is a very well balanced ship that offers a very small profile from the front, but won t *really* shine anywhere - but it has allmost no weakness.
you see, its hard to say whats best. - the ships of the VHF class ( especially, since they are the most popular ) are balanced. - some ships are not ( like the kushan VHF - cause it has a hitbox issue ) - so the best ship really is the ship you like the most, the ship you get used to.
you ll see that a lot of people won t really like the "my ship is better than yours" - cause ships are rather down to what your "character" would want to fly. - so while the player KNOWs that a blood dragon fighter is better than a BHG hammerhead, a BHG pilot would still WANT to fly a hammerhead. ( a contradiction that troubles some players - but not their characters:))

I've always liked the Werewolf as far as very heavy fighters go although my VHF character is in a Sabre as I think it suits outcasts better. It really comes down to what your character is and what role your playing.
I think the VHF are "pretty" much all equal in this mod but some may suit more than others.

If you are comfortable with the eagle and you roleplay a Freelancer or lawful/civilian faction pilot go with it and build a character around that.
Just be sure to mount weapons that are appropriate to your role play.
You may have mounted Tizonas and Nomads on a PvP server, but in a role play situation that is out of the question.
Or you could experiment with multiple characters and learn to fly some of the amazing added ships in this mod. Just keep each one in appropriate RP and youll be fine.
