Good faction for beginners - blackholea - 02-23-2013

Started recently, and am enjoying the game a lot more after pulling my vanilla Freelancer out of the storage.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on good beginner factions.
Also, how often does one have to play to join up with those factions?

Hello, welcome.

It depends what sort of play you like, give a bit more detail and I am sure ideas will pour in.

For example if you like unmolested trade on big spaces, go to Gallia.

We welcome new people with open arms to LR-.

Its a good faction if you wana practice on your fighting skills, pirating RP, and getting to know the ins and outs of Liberty.
You get to live on the edge. Its really fun!
Plus we are all friendly Big Grin

Plus I have a Polar Bear.

All right, thanks for the info!
I'll probably end up having several chars on different sides anywas (that's allowed right?)

If you're looking for a noob-friendly trading faction, who frequently organise profitable ore convoys between player bases - Borderworld Exports might be worth a try.

Sure it is. Most people here are at least in 3-5 different factions, flying up to 30+ ships.

I've been instructed to say that the Hogosha would quite like some fresh blood.

(But Outcast is better)

Konnichiwa new person looking for a new home.

The only recommendation I can give you in good confidence would be to join Samura Heavy Industries.
What do you get you may ask?
Well we provide free advice on good trade routes and mining operations, someone to fly with and make fun of others behind their backs while assuring ourselves how great we are.
You get to have a haughty altitude while you tell others how Samura is bigger than them and we have plenty of Shattner.
You can't go wrong.
Oh we are a great bunch who know how to have fun, but that is hardly important is it?

Arrigatou,
Okada Kazuya.

IF you want plain fun and madness with awesome people: Join Liberty Rogues

IF you want cash and convoy fun along with RP and shootout in the Taus: Join the IMG

IF you want instructions in Fighting, exciting patrolls, hardcore RP, dramaqueens and kings and if you like the colors green and red: Rheinland Military or Red Hessian Army. Also if you like to populate a dying sector of sirius (Rheinland is currently lazy)

Good advice! I'll probably submit an application to most of those, and see which one I like Smile
