RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - Dratai - 10-09-2013 I wasn't actually criticizing the idea. It's just that I had to point out that the houses are, infact, the remnants of the alliance. Just like the coalition is/was for its respective thing. I think a unified movement could work. At the same time, however, they don't want to spread themselves too thin. And there will probably be a lot of opposition. A movement in disco terms equates to ships in-game, which equates to military power. The other factions, or indeed, the houses, are bound to object. If only because they have their own interests. And, well. It's hard to play peacemakers without becoming agressive terrorists or not creating enough friction with other factions or players to create in-game roleplay fuel. As demonstrated by the bundschuh. Difficult to play since they're aaaaaall politics, lore-wise. (At least that's what people kept telling me when I suggested the bundschuh be revived) RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - SummerMcLovin - 10-09-2013 (10-09-2013, 06:47 PM)Dratai Wrote: A movement in disco terms equates to ships in-game, which equates to military power.I assume you don't mean this literally, obviously anything larger than mercenary groups has lots of strength that is not represented by players. You did bring up my main point, you're pretty much a lobbyist group rather than something with any military might to do anything other than shoot up a few ships now and then. Since it's been mentioned, there are still plenty of shoot-y things to do as Bundschuh with the Rheinland lawfuls, Corsairs, generic pirates and now those greedy Unioners to shoot. Just less targeting of civilians, although even then there are a few options (and of course RP/lack of consideration for it brings even more). Give the VWA a look if you are interested in getting involved there. RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - SnakeLancerHaven - 10-09-2013 Also guys, pls vote for Logo too: RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - JayDee Kasane - 10-09-2013 2nd one. While/Blue nice. 1st one nope. 3rd one looks Coalition even RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - SnakeLancerHaven - 10-09-2013 Also guys keep in mind, white and blue might look nice but imagine the Eagle fighter itself its yellow, the gold on the first one looks related to the Eagle Fighter imho, also 3rd one has been removed, weren't gonna choose it anyway vote for one of those 2 logos, thanks. Also the 3rd one was based on the old Alliance logo which had the red sun and golden eagle, they had nothing blue on them so that didn't look Coalition at all JayDee. RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - SummerMcLovin - 10-09-2013 The logic of basing your millenium-old logo on a much younger ship Even without that though, I agree with JayDee that the second one with the white and blue looks better. RE: Sirius Alliance - Cremotoria - 10-09-2013 i have 2 things to say... 1. i vote for the second logo 2. 'm gonna keep my eye on this... (Personal opinion that while gold fits red, as they are warm colors, silver fits blue, as they are cold colors. Although eagle can stay gold regardless.) GG. RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - Madotsuki - 10-10-2013 Just take the second logo and don't mind first. Also, I should check this again, as this is interesting enough. RE: Sirius Alliance "Feedback" - Remnant - 10-10-2013 Oh look. Another faction. (another..) Anyways, concept is quite.. interesting if that's a way to put it? Trying to merge a few starlancer concepts with Discovery, not too sure how well that will go, though I suppose its worth a shot, after some refining perhaps you can have something rolling. I look forward to seeing how this turns out. Good luck. |
