I'd like you to kindly, stop for a moment and think about the terms of having any sort of reward outcome with how imbalanced and poorly run this event is.

The Federalists have an issue with only having 3 dockable bases, their "allies" the Bundschuh are unable to allow docking to them (And vise versa), not to mention Imperial Military capital ship patrols also frequent said 3 dockable bases. Federalists are unable to organise properly let alone safely thanks to Imperial capital ship patrols or bases existing in Federalist zones.

Not to mention that our method of getting people to join the federalist side is nothing short of FUBAR, considering the steps are:

1) Start as Imperial Military to get the ships and equipment you need
2) Get someone else to buy you an Federalist ID, which is a hassle
3) Find a safe zone (which none exist)

And you say theres a reward outcome for this?

I get this side of the argument, and it was the logic behind not having a result based on results.

People complained, quite loudly. So we thought up a relatively small outcome, not something ridiculous, that gives at least something for doing well.

One side being too strong is of course an issue, but it has always been thus. Last event we did, the Coalition vs BAF event, Coalition outnumbered BAF by about 2 to 1, which in a capship fight that was set in a single hour was quite harsh on the BAF side (wish this was a week long event too but what can you do).

Dont worry, we wont blow up a battleship over the result.

That is not the point. It's about inability to assemble and organise near our own bases.
Outside of Weimar you encounter level 19 snub NPCs that are quite annoying as they are, add gunboat, cruiser and battlecruiser patrols on top of that. And Koblenz kindly waiting to blow up anything that undocks from Schatten and stays in place for too long. That is what we'd like to get fixed, we do not expect the whole "Imperial coup" to be handled adequately and not in such powergame-like manner.

RE: [Official Event] - Die Walküre - Enkidu - 04-07-2020

Only way to fix that is with a minipatch.

RE: [Official Event] - Die Walküre - Chronicron - 04-07-2020

tbh you should have released a patch prior announcing the event, like it was many, many times before

I have to agree with this. Big events like this have always had some sort of mini-patch to fix ID's, Rep Sheets, places for people to dock and making sure there were no bugs in the event plugin and so on.

Granted.

Please be a bit patient with the new Team.

With the sudden exiting from the Team of Durandal & Xalrok with little or no handover notes, the new Management hadn't quite realised what was involved in the organising of an Event.

They are seeing that it isn't just a matter of throwing out an Event and watching the outcome.

In future there will a lot more planning involved and, as Lanakov said, more discussions between the different Departments.

We ask for your forgiveness and hope you will just go out and have fun. After all, it is a Game and not life or death.

Guys @Devs, take your time

RE: [Official Event] - Die Walküre - Markam - 04-07-2020

I will take all the responsibility for any issues cropping up over the event.

I had a strong desire to give the community something fun to do and to send a message that we are not finished with the leaving of important team members.

Also, I didn't appreciate the complexity of issues such as how annoying buy points were and how high level npcs were in Thuringia.

We have resolved most of the issues, and NPCs should now be neutral if you fix the reps manually, which should help the rest of the event run more smoothly.

@Markam have informed us that Xalrok informed the remaining dev. team about how patching the server should be done. And yet, as a matter of fact the event is getting thrown in overnight with multiple disadvantages for the Federal side listed above while Imperial is moving around unrestrained. For whatever reason the changes for the event were only made serverside and a patch that is already long overdue - is still not released despite the dev. team's knowledge of patching process and Imperial Rheinland being in development for roughly six months. Perhaps, if you were not prepared for it - it should have been postponed until everything, including necessary patches, is ready.

It's a learning experience. Lessons to apply next time to make things go more smoothly.

RE: [Official Event] - Die Walküre - Dark.Star - 04-07-2020

Id like to state that you should bother at least making the correct repfixes. Such as UN shouldnt show hostil anymore to RM and vice versa
Same for Federalist ID and DWR ID (though idk on this one)
Nevertheless please make the repfixes as its starting to become annoying
