New London was a daunting sight for those unused to it - verdigris stained skyscrapers jutting into the sky, interwoven with countless maglev tracks and walkways. In many ways, it resembled a vast, glittering hive. Jacob Beckett was one such newcomer to the heart of Bretonia; his green eyes had popped wide open and remained that way since he first disembarked at the spaceport. For a lowly security officer from Birmingham, the sight was utterly dismaying.
Though he had eschewed his uniform for a more casual set of clothing, the young man's height and distinctive sideburns made him a striking figure, even through the teeming crowd of New London commuters. He was lost for a moment, utterly awed by the sight of the capital, before he regained his composure. It did not take him long to find his way - after all, the Prince William spaceport was the newest of more than fifty such complexes servicing the capital, and to their credit Bretonians were not one for producing shoddy public tranportation infrastructure. Beckett slung his well-worn satchel over his shoulder, joining the horde of passengers in being jostled onto a Tube train that would take him to the city centre and his destination.
After a short ride, he arrived at the Hub - a veritable wasp's nest of activity, with hundreds of people going about their business through the open courtyards and mezzanine that adorned the building's base. His green eyes lost no interest as Beckett ventured into the Hub's ground floor. The decor epitomised the BPA's attitude - neat, orderly, with none of the frills and opulence that many other organizations adorned their headquarters' with. A brief minute of perusing the visitor's guide, and Beckett boarded one of the glass elevators that took him to the level where the recruitment office was located.
The person operating the reception of the office was a portly woman, orderly yet friendly as many BPA employees were wont. She greeted Beckett with a smile, inquiring if he was here to lodge an application with the BPA. Beckett nodded, returning the smile despite not having fully recovered from his first visit to the capital. She passed him a data slate and stylus, instructing him to fill it out. Taking a seat in one of the well-appointed chairs in the reception area, he glanced over the form before beginning to write.

I was born on Birmingham Station where I still reside; my father is a corporate liason manager working for Planetform that oversees transportation of terraforming gases from the station to places such as California Minor. I am currently twenty six, and have been working as a BMM security officer since I graduated from secondary school. Being an SO means you have to be somewhat familiar with both company policy and many aspects of Bretonian Law. In addition I've done a fair bit of flying, and have dealt with everything from casual pirates to Gaian raids against Birmingham itself - now I wish to take a more proactive role in the defense of Bretonian commerce and society through the BPA.
3). Do you have any ambitions within the BPA after you join?
I can't say I have specific ambitions, perhaps working with the BPA will help me shape my life goals and give me something specific to strive for?
4). If you could have any pet in the world what would it be?
A labrador retriever - I don't go in for exotic animals, I would much prefer a devoted friend.

[color=#FFFFFF]» Douglas O'Donnell is a back street kid from Cambridge. White, Bretonian blood and middle class, Douglas was always mistaken for a upper class lad due to the sound of his name. However, the truth was quite the opposite. He was not poor, oh no. Don't get confused. He just missed out on what a lot of children experienced in wealth and possessions but also experiences. He was brought up with just his dad due to his mother dieing at birth and he just seemed to not get the hang of school. He detested the other children and even as young adult, he hated the stupidity of his peers. None the less he got though school in one piece with respectable grades. Shortly after school he joined a college for young and aspiring mechanics. He always was one for the nuts and bolts of planes and spacecraft. However he fell short and at the age of 21 he dropped out.
He is living with his dad still, who re-engaged only months before he finished college. He now is in need of a stable life, short term or long. But he needs to just be independent and be working in an environment where the people won't annoy him.

Pretty early in the morning, a chap enters the Bretonia Police Recruitment Center. Judging by his rotund figure and his clothes, one'd think that he entered the wrong bulding trying to get his son out of police custody. His confidence whilst walking towards an office clearly marked as "Recruitment Office" proved otherwise.
"Good morning sir", the officer on duty said, "how can I help?"
"Is this the place to sign up?" , the man asked with a rasp, loud voice.
"Uhm, yes sir."
"Let's get started then mate!", he said enthusiastically.
"Uh, your fitness might prove a bit of a problem sir." the young officer said reluctantly.
"I might not outsprint you anytime soon mate, but put me in a ship and I'll thread a needle with'er!", the man said, slightly irritated.
"Why don't you fill the application, and we'll review the data later." the officer said, handing the man a blank datapad.

Background: Born on Leeds to miner parents, mined for a good percentage of his life. Got enough money to buy a ship, spent years on escort missions in the Borderworlds. Almost shot down by Corsairs in Bretonia space, dedicated to make sure nobody gets in that position again. Not athletic, he definitely enjoys a Sidewinder Fang occasionally, and BBQ stakes more often.
Ambitions: Jayne really dislikes combat situations after his incident, and has no ambitions of flying big and powerful (lethal) ships. A good'old Hussar with Cruise Disruptors and a Badge will serve him just fine.
