Into the Abyss - Bjorn - 09-17-2011 "Comrade Alvarez, think about oil later and run now, and run from something more sinister than the machine!" - with that Leif tosses something that looks like makeshift grenade made from wired over plasma anti tank mine at the mecha. It would seem he has one more attached to his backs, as he grabs first person near him and runs back into the opening he made. Into the Abyss - mayu20 - 09-17-2011 Dasha and the others stormed the Jeep for some ammo. There wasn't too much to take unfortunately. All that she could take was just a ammo clip for her assault rifle. She had only three ammo clips for her assault rifle, two for her pistol and only ten for her grenade launcher. Not enought for what they were faceing on that wasteland. "Miss Villers we are ready to proceed." Dasha looked at Ketsu, she could tell that he is in greate pain for his shoulder and the other injuries taken on their trip here. Dasha lock and loaded her guns and it was ready for what that computer can bring to them. Or at least that was what she was thinking. Into the Abyss - TheOrangeButterfly - 09-17-2011 Johannes just stared at it. The angle the warbot was at as it came through the door was advantageous to his position. It seemed to have found "other" targets. Claus thought he heard yelling around the corner. He smirked. The warbot blundered forward towards the others in the facility, almost making it past the second doorway. Claus decided to was now time to act on instinct against this abomination. He bolted forward, aiming his shotgun at the warbots arse, seemingly where the powercable was that powered the rest of the unit. He fired. Again. Again. Again. It powered down. Slumping to the floor. He heaved a sigh of relief, he slowly walked around the corner. "Comrades!" He then leaned back against the next corner, catching his breath as he observed the wide-eyed people in front of him. Knowing a little about robots was helpful, and hopefully there were not too many more warbots to deal with. He didn't know how much ammunition it would cost him for higher-level models. Into the Abyss - Jam - 09-17-2011 Meanwhile, Sergei got lost somewhere in the ruined landscape. He got separated from the rest of the group by the bloody creatures. With huge luck, he managed to dispose of them. He picked up a signal, and tried to contact others: "Where the hell are you? I somehow lost you while I was being chased by those bloody creatures!" He put down the communicator, and waited for reply. Into the Abyss - Dane Summers - 09-17-2011 Reaching the warehouse, he secured his rope to a laid open concrete support column, and dumped the rest down the long shaft. Taking two glowsticks, he broke them, and dropped them one by one, watching the light get swallowed by the darkness - but it helped him spot the open portal to the first floor. Silently, he got the others attention, pointed too it, and prepared to repel downwards. He was just getting set to swing down, when his comm's crackled, with Levashov wanting to know where everyone was. With Dasha getting some coordinates to Lev, and Middleton covering the shaft with his rifle - Ketsu made his way carefully over the lip, and then into the darkness. As he was approaching the 1st Floor, silence exploded in shotgun fire. Ketsu ducked into the first floor, rolling into the corridor, his SMG up at the ready. Seeing nothing, he signaled an all clear for the rest up top to make there way down. Back against the wall, he slid to the corner of the wall, the shotgun blasts still ringing and echoing through the halls. As he peered around, he caught the warbot finally succumbing to Claus's withering assault. As he stood over its metal corpse, panting, Ketsu waved his hand, got his comrades attention. Into the Abyss - TheOrangeButterfly - 09-20-2011 Johannes nodded to Ketsu, half-grinning. He was happy to see his comrade made it alive into the facility, and then he heard Sergei's transmission over the radio. "Claus here. I'm forwarding the coordinates. You're going to have to repel down the first elevator." With that he stepped forward down the hallway, he treaded carefully not knowing what traps may lie ahead. It seemed very quiet after they destroyed the first warbot. He approached the second elevator carefully. Perhaps it was best to wait on his comrade. And perhaps the rest could search the WarBot Storage and armory for equipment. He doubted they were going to get separated again. Ketsu was always good at scavenging the appropriate material. Into the Abyss - Jam - 09-20-2011 "Got them, moving in. Sergei out." He moved on towards the facility, looking around. Once he entered, he reloaded his rifle, and searched for his comrades. "Uh... looks like a fight occured here." He mumbled for himself, walking down the corridor. After many minutes of walking around, he suddenly stopped when he heard a footstep. He looked carefully over the corner to see his comrades. With a relieved voice, he said: "There you are." And approached them. "I was starting to think I would never manage to catch up." There, he noticed that his leg was bleeding, but didn't pay enough attention to it. Into the Abyss - Jeremy Hunter - 09-21-2011 Tori smacked the backs of the MIL's heads, scowling. "Socalise at Kalashnikov's. We got a job to do." Tori tapped her comm. "Villers to International; We're in." Tori cut contact and raised her assault rifle, throwing a spare one to Claus. "Claus, Ketsu, take point. Sergei, take the rear. Elias, we're in the middle. Keep an eye out for Thorvaldsson and the Scouts." Tori shoved them to thier positions, never lowering her gun. "Move out." Into the Abyss - TheOrangeButterfly - 09-21-2011 Claus got the weapon and proceded to the elevator, he pushed the button, throwing the SMG around his shoulder and raising his shotgun up. The elevator creeked open. Empty. Thank god. He stepped in with the rest of the squad and pushed the button. They travelled down and *CLICK* the door to level 2 opened more smoothly. "Time to keep our eyes open." He looked at Ketsu and nodded, then proceeded into the room. There was a small corridor leading to the next room. He peered around the corner, not knowing what awaited them. Into the Abyss - T.A.L.O.S. - 09-21-2011 T.A.L.O.S. was working overtime, it had been detected transmissions within the facility as well as the loss of one of the patrolling Warbots. It reconfigured it's own internal Outbound Communication Transmitters to act as a Jamming-Field to prevent further contacts and put the Warbots on Level 2 on full alert. On Level Two, in the security checkpoint, bodies of fallen Soldiers and Technicians were left to rot after the AI's initial rampage, the room itself was shot up, the walls had what seemed to be projectile-weapon holes in pretty much everything, blood splatters coated the walls in some areas like a bad paintjob. The Checkpoint was mostly devoid of furnishings, a queue area that led into the Elevator for the 3rd floor was essentially demolished, in the center of it a large Warbot started to power up, it's armour was thicker than the regular Warbots and it's weapon resembled a grenade-launcher that was built into the left arm. T.A.L.O.S. tapped into it's systems and got it to stand to it's full height, nearly twice that of a normal humanoid. "Combat Systems Online..." |
