Very, very crude measurements but they seem to indicate correctly: Starting point was 3:58 PM local time By 4:04 PM I had lost 38 RA By 4:18 PM I had lost 112 RA 112 RA / 20 minutes = 5.6 RA per minute (crude measurements, remember) which is in line with 6 per minute since it eats 2 per 20 seconds. This was on a core 4. EDIT: By crude measurements I mean occasionally looking up at an oven clock. So no seconds being accounted for. RE: Developer Notice: Player Owned Bases Update - HassLHoFF™ - 03-13-2014 Well I can understand Tel in some way. The SRP period for base upgrading is quite hard in my opinion. If someone sees his profession in this a regular SRP without a time period for upgrading makes more sense. The worst case scenario of this would be someone who just construct 10 core 1 bases just cause he has fun with it. I also suggest to rebalance the sieging side. Means that direct base sieging should just be allowed after a notification with an expiring time about 48h. After this time the base siege side has 48h time to destroy the base. The base the owner is just allowed to dock vessels with the official faction tag and/or a present RP that is in connection with the base. If he doens't comply, there won't be a time to expire, because instakill the base is allowed. If the siege is successful, well base went boom. If the siege wasn't successful, they'll have to wait '(maybe 2 weeks) to request a siege again. RE: Developer Notice: Player Owned Bases Update - Kosa - 03-13-2014 So how is the plugin now? Is it on? The mode team and absolutely nuts. Making it so easy to destroy a core 4 base compaired to the time and effort it takes to build. Your trying to promote the server and its new updates. This is only gonna kill the server off. On another note has anyone thought about the commodities/items that station factorys build? Getting cloaks,jump drives ect is going to be very difficuilt or very expensive. Prices are going to go through the roof. Just like when you stopped making the barge accessable and it went to private sales. Items are going to become rare or very hard to get. In my opinion this is going to kill off the base building and put the final nails in the discovery 4.87 mod/server. For example cloaking device is now almost standard equipment of capital ships, at least from what I saw in Rheinland x Liberty battles in last months. Maybe you forget that this server is not "Discovery Player Owned Bases 4.87". Bases are fancy thing but should be just something additional. This server should be about RP and not about building, killing and supplying bases. It existed for years without bases, so I doubt it will die just because of lack of them or them being hardly sustainable and easy to kill. This change may be cruel for those who already built their bases but those who will do it from now know the risk. If they choose building POB instead of playing the game some another way without them, they have to accept it. |
