When base is repairing damage from outside - 1 repair mat * lvl per 1 second for each repair material And damn, why are galian Civilian bombers alowed to be used sirius wide for IMG iffed indies? (dozen of F1ed ships around base with Dual novas or etc) Wake up time to turn of shields is now turning wake up time to turn those damned shields on every single hour... Also, if ship (train for example) explodes near base - base turns into red and seems hostality doesn't get reseted after reloging anymore - this is really annoying, as base upkeepers can't dock there even when shields are downed and fight if over. Repair now eats 36k of each repair resources in 10-20 hours if there's a dozen of F1ed ships around the base. Annoyingly as that. Depends on activity, but once base is found - area around it just turns into new connecticut/Gamma. It would be very greatfull if base could keep shields up just forever... Fine - buff fuel suply and re-allow docking, but at least base won't be destroyable unless it stops being suplied for 1 or 2 days. And you can't build a fraking defense module before core upgrade due to lack of modules (Shield, Sotrage, Core and only then Weapons) Anyways. Another bug: you explode next to base - it becomes red until server restart. Going to connecticut and comming back, trying to login, failing and then going to conn might get you kicked out of server - you'll reach conn next relog, but istead of return you'll be dropped in outer space above the sun + base will become red to you, even though your name in in taglist. I vote for possibility to turn shield on for specified amount of time and if attacked - for more then random 1-16 minute time - it should be 10-20 minutes time. And it's really abusive that enemies gained ability to block your docking rights using civilian scout with flashpoints to troll the fleet. Returning shields and repairs to where those were before update and letting owner chose shield autooff time would be the easiest and best sollution as far as I found out. I used that blockability myself vs Bowex - one CD or debilator and I've blockaded the base, so i can get a kill - yay. Now I see that even without blockade base is too easily turnable into red until server reset, that building weapon platforms is pointless - those would shoot you and your supporters anyways - as there's no way to put hostile-neutral-friendly repsheet on IDs onto the base and without KOS tags list - you have to threaten all except those few tens of registered tags, which include supliers and defenders. For lawfull solo-2 faction base that's fine. But if faction's tag is in end of charname then faction is banned from it's own station due to lack of tag slots before getting the base bugged Base balance and other such matters - Lusitano - 04-18-2012 base + base + base and even more base!!! What i really would like is ... what ever was done on the trade lanes, should be undone!! In one day.. .better ... in less than one hour ... even on a BWT ... i missed the first trade lanes than more in one year flying a ZBT!! Rarely it gets first trade lane!! Some times i even use the /stuck command and works about the second or third but others ... forget it! It is nice to see the green and red lights, but i prefer like it was! Sincerely ... a trader life isn't easy and with this it is even more difficult! Base balance and other such matters - alphadog - 04-19-2012 Seems there was a new change introduced. The first hit when the shields are down DOES NOT damage the bases anymore. That means that maintaining a base is now -very- easy. Shields use up to a maximum of 15K fuel per 24, when they are on -constantly-. They turn off after 1-16 minutes, 8.5 on average. That means you need to be present 24/7, shoot it -all- the time, and destroy every transport that tries to reach the base. And then I'm not even talking about the repair supplies you have as backup. I don't really feel like doing the specific math right now, but destroying a base is currently impossible for any faction on the server. Nobody can keep a perfectly tight blockade for more then 24 hours. Base balance and other such matters - Lusitano - 04-19-2012 Well ... first i have to say that today i used the trade lanes from sigma 19 to colorado with my ZBT and ... all went well! In two cases the ship stoped and continued without having to pilot her or using the /stuck command. I didn't used on one trade lane that is more dificult but i let you know. Hielor if they are ... well only now i notice then.. maybe because this days i passed more time looking to then Trogdor i'm sorry i didn't notice that this was only for bases! I ... wait a minute ... the title says "Base balance and other such matters"!!! At least is what it says on my computer! Let me read again the first post from Cannon ......... reading ..... still reading .... yes many things about bases ..... wait ... the new update comes at then end of the month!! Also some stuff about some problems with the new equippment!! So Trogdor ... this isn't just about bases!!! At least the post that is on my computer isn't just about bases, so in my computer this thread is also for my conversation! You may not be able to assault a base for 24 hours straight alone (keyword: alone) but you can keep the pressure on. Eventually someone slips up, or just gives up. Then you get your explosion. Having to stock a base daily with 3 transport loads of MOX (/Deut/GallicFuel or 4 of H) can get tedious, especially if you can't benefit from the base 'cause people can't dock to it... Glad to see the first hit negated. That'll put a stop to cheap mortaring. |
