Do they at least hear the screaming noise? For the Nomad uber-torp it should really be quite loud, if necessary to compensate for the distinct lack of explosion animation they see. I want pure terror! Bwahahahaha! </broken record> Having the factionalized SNs be typed doesn't change the issues we have now. SNs still rape capital ships, and people still abuse shield types. One reason certain guns (Buckshot, for example) are spammed is because of weapon type. The only thing that will stop that is either sanctioning, or ingame repercussions. Like BHG people 'repossessing' guns from those who would use them rather than faction guns. Just shoot off the guns, then force them to run and dock. Problem solved. Really, these are too cool and too much better than the current "OMG, its cool therefore it must be Order or 'mysterious alien' originated" mentality on a lot of weapon and ship descriptions- we shouldn't pass this up. And when are you going to make a Nomad one?! Maybe make it better than the Order one to balance out the capwhoring we get. I'd actually like the Nomad one to be a huge crazy shot, not two uber weapons, even if they did get balanced. Makes it rightly terrifying to get nailed by even one. And since it'll be non-type specific, no worries about getting shield whored, since we have a single weapon type available to us. Mass drivers, as I've already pointed out, elgato, are like guns, and thus, not energy weapons. I'm now interested in such things as the capital ship Mortars, Razors, infernos, and the mini razor.... Sov brings up an interesting point....we should have the sounds each gun will make included in the original stats as well. The name was a joke more than anything and the energy usage is fine.. Keepers should not mount two of them (would be unfair) but since weapon properties of Nomad weapons are: Very low energy comsumption, very fast projectile and lesser damage.. I think it suits the parameters pretty much.. :rolleyes The Mass Driver.. With the Bretonian cannon I am not really sure.. First I wanted it to be continuing of --Rail line, so I named it 'Starrail' but then I realized we would have way too many particle supernovas so I instead chose to follow Splitter, Ripper line and someone suggested me the name Obliterator.. What do you think about names like: Cleaver, Carina's Wrath... |
