I double this, we can make a ton of theories, but only a trial run can show what will happen. Though I think indie Nomnoms will bring at most lolwuts/avengers shooting anything/specific traders, like having lolcaps wasn't enough. And sanctionlancing, well it will put more stress on admins, who are working for free, as I recall. One more thing, am I the only person who finds an answer "it's already bad" to a statement "it'll make things worse" hilarious? Like I can say exaggerating and putting drama in: - You shouldn't start a fire at your attic. - Meh, I've already have a fire in the basement. ![]() Anyway I am only a human, my opinion can be wrong, so trial run I say. Can it be add to poll answers? RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Alley - 12-04-2012 the poll is about "would you be interested in playing as an indie nom" not "would you like to see this happen" trial aka beta will happen, and it's during that time we'll find out how ppl behave with this. RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Gentlefood - 12-04-2012 Why the self defense clause regarding Wild? That seems unnecessary. The Nomads do not have any restrictions on who or what they can attack, so they end up being the universal "*** (pews!) ***" group. That's why they are limited to the Omicrons - because that is where their current powerbase is. you can yell at me all you want for not back reading all the pages so I don't know if this has been suggested or not yet. anyways to prevent to lolpewing might I suggest that they cannot engage anyone (except in self defense) out side of nomad controlled systems because I think that the primary reason that someone should want a nomad ID 'should' be for the RP as I personally loved doing nomad RP with my morph granted that RP was a bit limited due to it's being a morph so anyways maybe the ID could look a bit like this? Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Nomad, who : *colored stuff is the stuff I edited. Just make it: Cannot engage Nomads and Wild It never happened that wilds attacked nomads. And you could add the Wild here too, because we are all nomads afterall. Hidamari, the line on the outcast ID that they cannot attack nomads or wilds was removed too. It didn't end in outcast hunting the nomads. It didn't end in outcast hunting the nomads. that doesn't mean it would work both ways round... it would if there were no indie nomads. I know for a fact some people dont like the chummy relationship outcasts have with nomads, I personally dont like nomads anymore, but its not like im going to provoke a nomad swarm to come and attack me just because I dont like them. also you cant hunt a faction that doesn't exist, 1 day of activity in the past 30 days is completely negligible. will end up being like the wilde jokers that were at malta 2 days ago, talking to everyone like they were the brigadier general of the outcast forces, so I was like "sorry but gtfo" guy decided to shoot me because its all good now. will be this many times over. what better way to break relations between two factions than to take one factions side and start shooting the other faction because nobody says you cant. Outcasts that shoot nomads are also FR5, nomads that shoot OC are what? there is no repercussion for these actions OC see the relationship with nomads as more of a perk of the job more than anything, so why would they go out of there way to ruin it? as for the wilde in alpha incident a few days ago, it will become "anyone who doesnt bow down and say 'yes sir no sir three bags full sir' is okay to shoot" but sorry how many people are gonna sit there and let two random guys bombard them with words like they own the place. none, and so "okay lets kill them" RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Sava - 12-04-2012 Such a popular topic eh? (12-03-2012, 02:36 AM)Alley Wrote: We would to see the indie nomad ID that's already in the game files, just not available on any base, to be implemented with these edits. Edits change nothing as long as the ID stays unpurchasable. I'd say - open the ID, and only after some time look if it needs changes or not. O'rly? http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=90113 And these two was kind enough to reply on my messages, no irony here - they answered inRP (though I see their actions totally ooRP), because I can remember at least two cases of OC taged and IFF'ed capships full of nomads remains don't even bother to answer. |
