SF Message Dump - BlueBelly - 09-17-2007 To: SF Command and Personnel From: (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly Re: Induction Greetings, It is with great pride I relay that the elite BAF-Guard has seen fit to induct me into their august company. I am truly honored. [attachmentid=3205] My humble regards, (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly, Knight of the Garter SF Message Dump - Firebird - 09-17-2007 To: SF Personnel From: Admiral Firebird As a result of our recent raid into Kusari space, the KNF is tighting their front line patrols in the Taus. Until further notice, orders are to focus on engaging and breaking the Kusari front-line. Continue to also intercept Kusari trade convoys running along the outer Bretonian systems. End of Transmission SF Message Dump - Stratus - 09-17-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Commander Drake Kaiden, Beta5 Those bloody traders around Harris just don't stop! I woke up before sunrise to see their shiny hulls glinting the rays of a yet to rise sun down to me. They're trading like theres no tomorrow. As soon as I began my patrol some Phantoms entered the area, before I could open a channel to advise them to leave they had engaged me. Guess they felt safe having an Osiris on their side, coupled with a Taiidan. The bomber was disabled after the 4th pass, with that threat neutralized I began bombing runs on the Osiris. I've seen tidal erosion have a quicker effect. The Osiris was unable to gain a successful lock on my nimble craft, and much to my relief a RepEx Gunboat arrived and eased the heavy lifting. Many thanks to RepEx for deploying a security craft in my direction, I don't know how much longer my airlock could of withstood those shots. Those engineers on Harris made short work of the repairs though, I was undocked in a few hours, ready to resume normal patrol runs throughout the Tau-31 system. Upon entering orbit of Harris I picked up Lt. BlueBelly engaged with two Taiidan Bombers, [HF]-Fenrir and {Helghast}(G)~Thunderbo. Due to engine problems I could not make it to the battle before BlueBelly was forced to eject. However once there I managed to eliminate the first bomber. [attachmentid=3206] The second bomber was a different story altogether. Personnel should approach {Helghast}(G)~Thunderbo with extreme caution. He is a highly skilled pilot. It took countless passes againt him before I could get the final shot in. I had a few drinks after that battle. [attachmentid=3207] ((OOC: Good fight {Helghast}(G)~Thunderbo. Thats easily the best 1v1 bomber duel I've ever had. Respect.)) End Transmission SF Message Dump - BlueBelly - 09-17-2007 To: SF Command and Personnel From: (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly Re: T-29 engagement Greetings, As ordered I have limited patrols to the Taus and was able to interecpt a KNF scout heading to T-31 via T-29. I caught him exposed in the trade lanes and he is now lost in the abyss. I returned to HMS McDuff and reported to Cmdr. Kaiden for debriefing. [attachmentid=3208] My humble regards, (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly, Knight of the Garter SF Message Dump - Firebird - 09-17-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Admiral Firebird Pleased to announce the successful application of Galcian (1st through the evaluation process). Cadet Galcian will be orginally helping with Battlegroup Stormpike. (He has much to learn about discovery having come from a different mod and still not yet familar with the setup here, thus show him the ropes and patience) As customary with new recruits head on up to the Cambridge Research Station bar for a round of drinks on the admiralty. I've already gone about having a templar fighter set aside for use on the Ark Royal. End Transmission SF Message Dump - bluntpencil2001 - 09-18-2007 To: Admiral Firebird Comm. ID: Captain Andrew Stuart of the QCP Message Begins// Greetings, sir. As you know, I'm the Captain of Her Majesty's Interdiction Wing, so I don't think I'm stepping out of line in sending you this wire. Now, we are at war with the Kusari menace, and we fight for the honour of Her Majesty, Queen Carina. However, my noble pilots have intel suggesting that you dishonour the Queen by refusing to fly the colours of this great nation. I've heard reports that you have been using foreign vessels instead of our own formidable craft, as well as pressing civilian, Eagle-class ships into service. This goes against Bretonian military and civil law. There are plenty of Templar and Hussar class ships in our shipyards, and they are reliable birds, that is for sure. Certainly up to the task of handling those servants of the Kusari Emperor. Indeed, my own Templar is a lovely ship and my wingmen handle their Hussars well, too. There are no excuses for not using them. The Kusari might be foul creatures, but I'll give them one thing. They have honour, and fly their ships with pride. You don't see them mounting Colada del Cids on their ships. I hope that you sort out your flock, Admiral, because dishonour like this makes us look like the villains in this struggle for justice. We can't allow them to win on a moral front, for then they shall surely win materially too. -Stuart out! //Message Ends SF Message Dump - BlueBelly - 09-18-2007 To: SF personnel From: (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly Re: Hmmm Greetings, Chatter over comms has been amusing of late, and I must report many signals have befell my ears unwanted and unsolicited. I fear an attempt at psychological operations, however, being Bretonian can steady the nerves and give strength when all oppose the Queen's will, "supposed" friend and foe alike. Speaking of the vile KNF as an honoured foe is a fools errand. Their depth of dishonor and duplicity know no bounds. Betrayal is their deity. My humble regards, (Guard) Lt. BlueBelly, Knight of the Garter SF Message Dump - Stratus - 09-18-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Commander Drake Kaiden, Beta5 Patrol Report: Tau-29 During patrols of the Tau-29 system two Bushido vessels were encountered, outfitted with high resolution imagery hardware they appeared to be taking deep space shots of Tau-29, possibly surveying Bretonia movements in the sector. I can't believe they didn't run before I saw them, as they must have detected me long before they showed up on my sensors. As I began closing in on them they fled, all the way tho the Tau-63 system. Obviously eager to return the sensitive images before they could be compromised. A battle ensued with both vessels being destroyed, but only just. A crucial hit must have been made whilst my shields were down, as my Oxygen reserves started decreasing, slow at first, however the pace quickened. I brought up the lifesupport checklist and attempted to switch to my secondary and tertiary Oxygen tanks. Then I recalled the flight engineer aboard the Ark Royal telling me to take it easy as they had been removed, and replacements were two days express shipping away. I placed several deep space Maydays. The last thing I remember was entering the Tau-42 Jumphole. Apparently the Ark Royal had picked up my communication, and sent a search team out into the Tau systems. It looks like they were just as eager to get their hands on the deep space imaging as the Bushido. They tell me Decrypting software is attempting to break the codes now. All I know is this hospital on Harris sucks, even the view of non-stop traders is nothing exciting. End Transmission. SF Message Dump - Firebird - 09-18-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Admiral Firebird With the continued threat possed by the KNF an elite squadron of templar fighters is to be formed and commanded by Commander Kaiden (Stratus). Consequently, Commander Kaiden is hereby promoted to Captain in order to better fulfilll his duties. Gamma Squadron will be attached primarily to Battlegroup Stormpike for the moment to help push back the Kusari from Bretonian space. Like Beta squadron members must be of the rank of Lt. Commander and higher. As a last item, head on over to CRS for a round of drinks to our new Captain Kaiden. For the Queen and Bretonia. End Transmission SF Message Dump - Firebird - 09-19-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Admiral Firebird Urgent - Corsair and Hostile Weaponry A recent scan of the corsair weaponry used by our vessels has determined they have a rigged kill switch designed to denotate the weapon if a specific frequency is transmitted. Through our informants, we've discovered the corsairs knew about this but allowed us to continue using the weapons in order to get more of our vessels using them. In a week they're planning to transmit the signal and detonate them. As such begin removing the weaponry as soon as possible along with those belonging to any faction listed as hostile on the BAF ID. It is likely that other groups will begin implementing similar kill switches in their weapons. Nomad Weaponry CRI has also informed us that the development of a human capship turret based on Nomad technology has failed to produce a version which doesn't attempt to take over the ship. The blasters and cannons are still being successfully produced but their manufacturing is showing to be more costly and quantities are to be reduced. As such we will limit their use to pilots of Lieutenant and up. The thruster however is showing to be as simple to manufacture as their regular counterpart thus there are no limitations for their use. Civilian Ships - Outside Bretonia With the war, sabotage is becoming a factor for several non-Bretonian vessels. As such these vessels are to be scraped down and replaced with Bretonian vessels. Liberty ships have yet to show signs of the same level of sabotage but with a war brewing between them and Rhienland they'll be less inclined to provide us with ships in the forseeable future. Thus, to better encourage the use of homeland equipment, SF members are to have equal or more Bretonian combat ships in comparison to the number of Liberty combat ships under their command. The RH bombers may possibly be recalled by RM in the near future. Await further instructions on this matter. Comm Interruption A brief communications interruption was experienced with the SF message dump. It has yet to be decided if we'll be needing to switch communication channels in order to continue operations as we did before. We managed a temporary equipment fix but not sure if it will hold or not. OOC: Quick version 1. Ditch any weapons on the BAF ID's hostile list, doesn't matter where they came from 2. Nomad weapons are fine due to CRI, the exception will be the Nomad Capship Turrets (the ones that look like a nomad "bulb" on the side of ships) 3. Ships must be bret, liberty, or excessively neutral (Prison Liner, Lux Liner, Large Train, ie. those ships meant as support craft but not for combat), you must have more bret combat ships than liberty ships. You will be seeing my battlestar and viper switching so take that as a hint that if it has another faction's label at the start, its not to be used. The bombers are being addressed in a poll at the moment. 4. Message Dump - more directed towards the admins, so what's the verdict here, can this message dump operate with both OOC and IC posts like this and not get sanctioned, or is the message dump to be moved? Any questions, feel free to post or PM me. If you're not sure on something PM me. End Transmission |
