[SUBJECT] REPORT

Konnichiwa,

Two days ago I encountered a sizeable force of Blood Dragon ships in the Honshu system. Apparently they were blockading the lane to Okinawa and extorting traders.
The full number of enemy forces amounted to three fighter class ships, one gunboat class and one destroyer class. Apparently one of our own that was captured. I was accompanied by Hanegawa Issei, an agent of the Kempeitai.

After a short conversation it was clear that a fight would be inevitable and soon we found ourselves engaged by their fighter craft.
However, we quickly managed to dispatch one of theirs, prompting their larger vessels to open fire on us as well.
In the course of the fight we managed to destroy the other two fighters as well, while evading the heavy fire from the destroyer. In the end we had to retreat as we didn't have the firepower to bring down their gunboat.

The following day large activity in Sigma-13 was reported by some Kempeitai agents and I quickly moved to the system to find out more. I found a large conflict zone with multiple factions fighting each other. The small GMG force did well in their effort to defend their system, while fleets of the Outcasts and Corsairs roamed the system. It was also interesting that our infamous Golden Chrysanthemums were present as well, fighting with some Rheinlanders against the Corsairs. I mostly kept out of the fights, only making sure that our Kempeitai assets were safe, as those invading forces were surely a problem of the GMG and not Kusari.
However, the Chrysanthemums foolishly decided to destroy a hogosha vessel present in the system. Even though he willingly joined the fight I couldn't leave such an action unpunished.
I swiftly destroyed the two present GC fighters just to find myself in a calm system again as the GMG were cleaning up the last corsairs.

This concludes my report.

Respectfully,
Yamada Shouzou, Nito Kaisa

Konnichiwa, this is Intelligence Officer Yamada with a top priority broadcast to forces of the KNF 3rd Fleet North, both Battlegroups Matsumoto and Sado.

A few hours ago, an alert from the garrisons in the Nagano system of renewed Blood Dragon activity within the system and around the Tomioka corridor. (//See here)

While no hostiles were spotted near the Rishiri gate by patrols, we have lost contact with the 7th Battlecruiser Division operating in the system, after sending a message that they were in combat with a large Blood Dragon force.

117th Naval Guard Wing has received orders to enter the Nagano system and locate the 7th Division elements.
Objectives are as follows:
- locate and contact the 7th Battlecruiser Division, and assist in their return to KNF controlled space.
- scout the Tomioka corridor for the Blood Dragon Forces, as well as any additional hostile combat units
- assist in the evacuation of any refugee groups leaving the Nagano system

Be careful out there, reports of GC and Farmer radicals heavy activity have sprung up during the time of the BD detection.

Meanwhile the 116th Naval Guards, together with the 5th Destroyer Division are to be stationed on the Nagano approach in Rishiri for the duration of the retrieving operation, to serve as a rearguard force.

No further mobilization orders were issued for the other units under the Matsumoto Battlegroup, and the Sado Battlegroup maintains it's current alert status for their zone of operations.

Officer Yamada Kei, signing off.

We have received a notice that the search and rescue mission on Nagano was concluded a few hours ago. The following is a report of the operation.
---------------

- Santo Kaisa Kobayashi Hidenori, 117th Naval Guard Commander

We have entered the Nagano system after separating from the Rishiri gate defensive force, and split into smaller sections to scout the last location of the 7th Division. Different flaying patterns and smaller unit composition allowed us to avoid any encounters with large Blood Dragon contingents. We set out to find the two battlecruisers Fuyuki and Tagaki.

At T+0300 hours, section 2 reported the location of the remains of the Tagaki, on a location near planet Tomioka. The ship was dead silent and crippled beyond repair. Findings indicate that this was the place where the fighting took place, and the Tagaki was one of the first casualties of the engagement. Rear section was gone, and the hull was broken into 3 sections, result of heavy weaponry strikes on the hull. Evidence of few escape pods launched, but the amount of corpses points to a sudden loss of the ship. No survivors were located on the area. Division commander Itto Kaisa Tadanobu was missing from the wreckage, from what we could determine. We accessed the database and made a copy of the mission records for analysis, but couldn't disable the database fully because of a power failure. With the wreck beyond repair, we decided against further scuttling for respect of her crew.

Location of the KDS-Tagaki

Other wreckage included 4 of the gunboat escorts, and many smaller craft debree. As we followed close signals, we located the wreckage of the group nanny ship, taken down by heavy fire as well.

Section 3 located the party of the Fuyuki at T+0500 hours, closer to Planet Kodo. The Fuyuki managed to limp out of the battlefield after having recovered it's engine capabilities, but it became incapacitated on the way back to our lines. Of the remaining 2 gunboat escorts that accompanied her, one had blown up a few hours before to a reactor failure, and the second one was barely holding, along with a few fighters. 70 crew members of the Fuyuki were evacuated to the Mackinac, as well as 20 pilots and crew members of the Tagaki that were picked up by the Keibi-200C gunboat.

Demolition charges were placed on the bridge after data retrieval, and the reactor components were jettisoned to avoid a large blast radius that would alert our enemies.

Last known location of the KDS-Fuyuki. Wreckage was heading to sector 7F and further out of the system at a slow velocity.

We hailed the Mackinac and recovered the Division survivors. Nitto Kaisa Jozen perished during the escape of the Fuyuki, and survivors report that Captain Tadanobu had died during the destruction of the Tagaki.

With the remnants of the 7th Division located and recovered, we returned to Rishiri alongside some shuttles of the OS&C, who requested some escort for their clients who were leaving the system.

On the way back we met a Samura convoy, heading to their mining operations. We were in no conditions to place a lockdown on the system, so we let them to their deeds as they wished. Hopefully they aren't relying too much on their security before deciding to pull back their workers from the dragon patrolled areas.

We located both the BC Tagaki and Fuyuki, declared lost in combat. Captain Tadanobu and Commander Jozen died during the operation, defending their men with their lives. A total of 100 men, including four fighter pilots and the gunboat crew, were rescued. An additional 50 civilians were escorted out of the system during the operation.

We did not locate any major force of the Dragons, nor any apparent blockade force on Tomioka with our medium radars. Another operation is required to located them and assess their numbers.

This concludes our report,
Kobayashi Hidenori, 117th Naval Guard Commander

Today we performed a small patrol, covering the route of the KNF transports that were supplying regional headquarters off world.

While we managed to do the patrol without encountering threats to shipping, we had to do some policing action, as we crossed paths with a GMG| vessel, GMG|C.Hun , which was transporting illegal migrants (Class classification KC 3-1-1: Slaves)]. Failing to present proper papers for the transportation, the GMG vessel was ordered to release the migrants to KSP custody, which the pilot claimed he was unable to do due to technical difficulties. Fortunately the [KNF]KDS-Amakusa was running his duties at the moment, and was able to be requested for retrieval of the migrants. The passengers were safely delivered to nearby Shinagawa, and the GMG pilot released without any additional fines but with a warning.

A few moments later, the Amakusa reports a Gallic transport carrying a large shipment of Nox (Classification KC 3-1-1: Nox), and we intercepted him at Shinagawa. The captain was cooperative, and released the drugs on demand.
He was unable to pay the 4 M fine issued, so we demanded informations regarding his drug business. He told us that the delivery was for Planet Honshu, and that there were individuals or small groups receiving the drug from the smugglers. This information needs to be passed on to the KSP for further investigation.

Commander Enomoto, Captain of the KDS-Kirishima

Good day, Commander Enomoto here. Today we had a visit in the New Tokyo from Navy elements of our neighboring house. Here follows the report.

Our Kirishima was departing the Nansei research Complex after delivering a small number of [REDACTED] captives, when we received a transmission from KNF patrols in New Tokyo of the presence of Liberty Navy ships bearing the 5th Fleet credentials. We moved at best speed to investigate the occurrence.

We arrived at New Tokyo orbit, where a Commander John Darius and a Commodore Mark Webb had just surprised the pilot of the KDS-Amakusa with their unannounced arrival. Although they had been picked up while traveling through Shikoku, they had not been hailed or performed any transit request beforehand.

Still, they wished to convey some sensitive information to the KNF directly, and I arranged for a more discreet meeting near Narita Outpost.

Over there, I've heard their stories, most of them involving Nomads or nomad infected personnel.

comm excerpt 1 | excerpt 2 | excerpt 3

They told us about a sort of Hybrid Nomad Gate in Alberta (something we didn't know... Alberta?), that there were nomad infected involved with it, and defending it.
They told us that these nomad related group calls itself Division 9 (I think we might have some records on them), and that it's composed mostly of LSF related personnel.
Apparently, LSF itself is involved in the mess and D9, in such a way that these officers of the Liberty Navy think LSF is covering the operations of Nomad infected in Liberty (something that we didn't know).

That LSF is not to be considered trustworthy is one thing, but that Liberty own Navy doesn't trust them speaks volumes about the possible fractures within Liberty military control.

Finally, they spoke about the universal threat of Nomads, and that they could be everywhere (which we are sorely reminded of everyday because of Tohoku). Their speech sounded overly Order like, and displeased me somewhat.

Also, some warning of a individual named Joker, and it's ability to "bait nomads" and cause havoc with them. Not sure how careful we should be with such person, as I have never heard of such cases before.

They decided to return to Liberty after speaking out their hearts, and had some troubles with a Lane Hacker in Shikoku, although the presence of the Kirishima dissuaded him from causing more trouble than it was worth. A KPT agent Kurayami was operating at that moment too.

Konnichiwa, this is Intelligence Officer Yamada. There has been a report issued recently about a medium scale engagement between our forces and know criminal forces.

Patrol Vessel:Naoki.Seok
Date: 29-11-822
Title: Engagement against Kusari Exiles, Golden Chrysanthemums and pirate raiding groups

Itto Kaii Naoki Seok here, reporting from an engagement in the Tsushima Station area. My ship was shot down by the enemy but fortunately the KDS-Shinano overseeing the combat has managed to retrieve me, although the ship could not be recovered in the middle of the firefight.

Our patrol was investigating the Kyushu system for hostiles when we came to face a wing of the so called Kusari Exiles. The deserters were in a waiting pattern, and doing the usual bickering about their place in Kusari and their bright yellow vessels.

1 2

Soon after, as if to add insult to injury, the other kind of hypocrite of Kusari, the Golden Chrysanthemums, decided to show up in numbers as well, setting up what would be a difficult fight ahead. Commander Shouzou was directing our forces, and considering that the GC were bringing some unknown freelancer mercenaries with them, we decided to engage them first.

Not that the deserters would stand still and be nice, and added to the confusion of the combat. Some other traveling freelancers were on site, but could not be convinced to fight for the better cause. At least they were courteous enough to not be a nuisance either.

1

On the side of our forces, Commander Shouzou and Rita.Hitoshi were present alongside me, as well Captain Shin Takeru aboard the KDS-Shinano. In addition, pilots Kenji.Fujimoto and Esumi.Teshima of the KNF 2nd Fleet were also there to assist, as well a State Police from the RKS|-Akira.Sugimori , that arrived as reinforcements against the hostile numbers.

1 2

The battle, as I have seen it, was inconclusive, as we took some out but suffered many losses as well. Rita.Hitoshi was credited with another kill to the boards.

1

This ships marked with the (C insignia are admittedly on the side of the criminal organization GC, and should be seen as dangers to Kusari whenever met.

Naoki Seok, signing off.

Konnichiwa,
today i started my patrol in New Tokyo at Narita Outpost.
I found an Alliance "Drone" Freighter there, with some food.

After this i got an transmission from [KNF]G.Kikkawa|Sankyuu, he found one pirate and one Alliance Gunboat in Kyushu. I got the order to head towards Kyushu. After i arrived the Alliance Gunboat left the area. A Samura fighter just joined the area, i ordered him to keep a distance from 2k. After a short time an Outcast joined also the area, i got ordered to engage this Outcast. After a few minutes i managed to destroy this Outcast Confirmed kill. In the meanwhile an Golden Chrysanthemums member joined the fight. Unfortunately, the Golden Chrysanthemums ship and the Samura ship got destroyed.

Commander Yuuka Nakazono, KDS-Shimotsuki

On this day we were assigned by the KNF command to perform a support mission to the Chikuma Battlegroup in the Nagano system. The Shimotsuki was loaded with emergency supplies for the Tomioka settlement, as well a small marine contingent to reinforce the security forces controlling the main spaceport of the settlement.

Accompanying as escorts were renown pilots Hideaki Ishikawa and Ryouma Sakamoto, which secured our passage through the frontlines and into the Nagano system.

[Image: 86eu6Xts.png] [Image: JsFmRips.png]

While we resorted to the silent run drive of the Shimotsuki, or perhaps because of it, we managed to arrive without any opposition. I had commented to admiral Ishikawa about the lackluster recon efforts by the KNF forward units or the KPT, but it seems that their predictions of low encounters near the planet proved correct.

[Image: UcxcQXYs.png] [Image: ZAxz5aps.png] [Image: zAF5We2s.png]

We unloaded the marines and the supplies for the civilian administration, and embarked a few hundred citizens and tourists for extraction back into safe territory. The second leg was a little faster with the use of the cruise engines, and we arrived at Oharu border station safe and sound. The civilians disembarked, and we let the KSP handle the shuttle of the returnees to New Tokyo and other planets.

[Image: GFiEahes.png] [Image: 4jv1vfqs.png] [Image: 3OQVS1fs.png]
[Image: TkRuOoEs.png] [Image: ZPS39uws.png]

On arrival at Oharu, KSP requested that we transported some interrogated prisoners and criminals to Fuchu in the Shikoku system for their trials and incarceration. Again, I was accompanied by Ishikawa-san and Sakamoto-san, and the voyage went without issues.

[Image: 4ImLv9Ys.png] [Image: 1D4jHzis.png]

The KNF patrol continued their patrol with a KSP officer, [KSP]Hideaki.Honda, while the Shimotsuki returned to base in New Tokyo for refuel and resupply. Admiral Ishikawa commended our work. He suggested reassigning our unit to the battlegroup he commands in the Tohoku system. It's not my place to refuse such a distinguished post, but in the end it's the Admiralty decision to make.

Seems both Sakamoto-san and Ishikawa-san have a long history together, and seemed interested in knowing more about a junior officer like myself. Ishikawa-san even invited me for some drinks, and I agreed to a visit to the Perfect Blossom to talk some more.

Commander Nakazono, signing off

Tokkeitai Cell
First trust circle

'Hakutaku' asset has been compromised. Advising to decrease the level of Trust for this asset.
While some of his points have merit, target displayed mistrust in First Circle and disapproval for its line of action.

Relevant points refer to First Circle regulation and transparency needs. Matters that still are far from getting consensus in this assembly.

Recommending to cut ties with target and let him leave our ranks. Termination is another option, depending on how dangerous what target truly knows may be for our future operations. If termination is acted, recommending extreme caution, given target profile.

Lastly, A decision must be taken concerning project 'Harutsuki'. Target expressed a will to retain asset. Asset termination is not recommended, as target knows close to nothing. However, the assembly might take into account the potential bad press target may cause; a liability the cell does not need right now.

'Kiyohime', First Trust Circle.

RE: ~ Kusari Naval Action Report ~(IRP) (AO) - Yaoquizque - 01-05-2016

The deposed Emperor forces labeled as 'Exiles' launched a full scale assault in Kyushu system. Their main goal appeared to be the destruction of battleship Nagumo. Consequently, Exiles translated a battleship - presumably Battleship Nagasaki - from Tau 29 system and initiated vicious strikes against Nagumo.

The battle that followed lasted several hours.

While Exiles plan was perfectly executed, their forces were unable to critically damage Battleship Nagumo. However, the venerable ship suffered significantly, which forced the fleet to fallback to a safe location.

Nagumo is currently in planet Kyushu high orbit, its combat capabilities being restored.

I already gave orders to requisition personnel to replace casualties suffered within its crew.
For such an aging ship of the Meiji class, Nagumo endured admirably. However, some parts of the ship have been heavily damaged and will require some time to be repaired.
Incidentally, this could be a good occasion to replace some of the subsystems in order to further modernize Nagumo.

You will find the list of the casualties suffered during the battle in the appended data. I am currently going through it to announce their sacrifice to their respective relatives.

Intel gathered by our long range scanners and scouting wings state the Exiles have translated two battleships in Kyushu system - including the battleship that served as spearhead in Nagumo assault.
Their current position is unknown. Orders have already been given to locate them and then keep a close eye on them. Patrols have also been significantly increased in the system.

Both sides saw heroes die for the cause they believed to be just. It is always a sad day to see Kusarians kill Kusarians.

The behavior of the group designed as 343rd appears to have significantly changed. While they initially appeared to be willing to limit casualties within the Naval Forces, the last event displayed a lack of concern and even disdain for the lives of the ones serving the House of Kusari.
We are an obstacle to their will to seize back the power that once was theirs. This attack demonstrated they will go for anything to achieve that goal, be it slain all those who oppose them. This, ironically, makes them quite similar to Blood Dragons.

That said, I have sadly to report some peculiar points :
Two battle-cruisers failed to join the battle upon arriving on site; Heavy units Akatsuki and Shinano.
Akatsuki commanding officer plainly refused the order to protect Nagumo claiming his conscience dictated him to not fire at fellow kusarians and former brothers.
Shinano commanding officer stated the ship power core suddenly stopped to function correctly. It may be a case of sabotage. Technicians sent to Shinano might tell us more about this oddity.

Lastly, such an event unfortunately confirmed relevance about the concerns raised within Admirals circle about the lack of priority given to the defense of West Quadrant. This however does not discharge me of my responsibility in this disaster. I have taken all the measures I found to be necessary, and am ready to pass the reins on someone more competent.

Sakamoto Ryoma.
