So are you sure with deleting Zeta, not updating it or whatever? System itself has some problems, but it giving so much of Omicron atmosphere. Placing on it's place Minor - sounds like to cut all activity from here. Delta stylesheet is awful.

Btw, I just tried to pass though Kappa and it looks to be impossible with a tranposport, when little amount of people on the server. 8 Nomad Gunboats at once. Lol wut. Nomad spawns are too high even compare to Delta/Zeta.

Yeah I'm fairly sure about deleting it. It's a system I styled myself (star, rings, fields, lighting, etc) originally. It is however a style template upon which modifications to Omicron Minor, Delta and number of other systems are being made. No random colors and light source completely unrelated to environment (stars, diffusion though nebulae, etc) anymore. Think you'll like the result if you liked Zeta visual aesthetics in terms of color and general atmosphere.

Regarding NPCs my intent is to use narrower zones and fine-tuning as opposed to typical approach of having one giant system-wide zone where all sort of NPCs spawn. Thus some areas in one system will be easier to traverse than others and some areas might be considerably more dangerous, places you wouldn't want to go to, and if you'll pay attention to visual cues you'll figure out what places to avoid with a transport ship.

edit: Though to clarify - I have no plans to modify Kappa at the time being. Not sure if Max (Echo) has though.

All I've done is change the jump hole links as per the updated map.

Then, I have to say you managed to create most beloved system not just for me, but many in Phoenix. First Zeta in 4.86 used to be very popular system, sadly new changes wasn't able to give fresh air to the Core.

So if to say shorter - stylesheet of Zeta is pure win. If Delta going to look the same as Zeta now, I'm all for it.


As for Kappa, c'mon. Usually when I fly there's not much of server activity, so simple NPC spawning question is important. If there's simple less than 100 players, I couldn't pass though on my transport. So I have to wait until there will be more players, which making us to be dependent on it.

Also, got an idea. What if simple remove CD from Nomads in Kappa? It'll solve all problems.

Not to sound rude or patronizing but those systems aren't about being safe for transports to pass through. Removing CD would remove it from all of them, it's not a system-specific property, so it's not a solution. What could happen is that there can be more narrowly defined zones which would have extra spawn rates, so you'd have to avoid those areas on a transport, and they could be naturally arranged in such way you wouldn't be able to go AFK flying straight line either, but that'll be a risk you can either take or fly a detour to try to get in one piece. Yeah I understand "Omicrons is dangerous", but Kappa much more harsher compare even to deeper systems(imo it should be more or less same). I'm using ZWhale with CAU8 but it doesn't help when just a few gunboats on you. It's really impossible to fly though, sometimes. Nomad gunboats are something, CMs doesn't working against their disruptors. At least chance to fly though would be best.. Tongue

Yeah, I'm not complaining at respawn when you already on cruise, but when you just jumped inside of the system, and all of jellies on you. Shy
