No kidding. And when did it end? I can show you the message that said the event was still going on. This is not meant as protest but yet I feel a bit disappointed. OK that's life.
Update: I just docked in Freeport 10, logged out, logged in and... message still appeared. Let somebody do something about it please.

Wow, I just got to this "weekend event," didn't even get to make a single credit. Sorry to whine, but I thought it was going to run longer. I seriously ran a boat all the way out to enemy space for a let down. Still tells me about the event being active after I logged that char and logged into my transport.

If someone could please shut off the notification as "Active" asapy, it would cause less sadface.

Yeah, because the text you see only changes once the server restarts. The event concluded a few hours before that happened.
