I once again ask staff to uphold the written rules and remove BSG from Freelancer universe, thank you. When you think about it, Outcasts are just a Dune import in their core: Funny suits with a pipe going up your nose? Check. Special spice that is very lucrative and the whole universe wants it? Check. It can only grow on one exact planet? Check. It gives you big brain™ powers? Check. Though they are vanilla, just like Victorian Britania Bretonia, Weimar Republic Rheinland, Honorabru Kusari and so on. The whole universe is based on real life or pop culture references, but we seem to ban imports which is kinda funny when you think about it. I once again ask staff to uphold the written rules and remove BSG from Freelancer universe, thank you. Dune is cool though. He who controls the Cardi, controls the sector. Funny enough, I've said to a few people before that I think Cardamine is based on spice. I've watched both the older and the newer series. Cool is very subjective reasoning. On semi related note - I think there's going to be a new Dune movie as well. RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - Groshyr - 04-18-2020 but current lore changed, isn't it? the only thing rem similar to BSG stuff is Nyx and Celesta, and probably the shape of Deimos RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - Hokan - 04-18-2020 (04-18-2020, 11:27 AM)Backo Wrote:(04-18-2020, 11:22 AM)The Only Hokan Wrote: Dune is cool though. I like BSG too, but a direct import is meh. Outcasts have influences, not exactly imports. CR were BSG, now they're more heavily influenced by it. On the note about the dune film, I have heard about it too. I hope its good, Dune needs more love. It was a direct import back when Discovery was still full of import ship models and the Marauder HF was a Cylon fighter, the Raven Talon was a Viper and so on (and before it was a Viper it used to be another imported model from Star Wars). They were forced to change most of it as Discovery tried to become a more serious roleplay environment. EDIT: After being corrected by @Thexare it appears it was the Charon that Viper model and not the Raven's Talon. The Charon was a civilian available VHF built by IMG: https://discoverygc.com/wiki/Charon_-_Evo_1B_Civilian_Very_Heavy_Fighter Raven's Talon has been a SW import until it got changed to its current model. Big thanks for correcting me Thexare. RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - SnakThree - 04-20-2020 Cruisers+ vs Transport rule is an abomination and should be removed. RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - Nightowl - 05-03-2020 This Feedback is for the Balance-Defs who made the last Patch. A simple question: How much time does you take when you "balance" a ship? And how many users of the ship does you ask in the process? When you "balanced" the Ish'tar you did nothing of this. Yes, ok, when i see the lines and tables, there is only one BS with a powercore of more than 9million: the Ish'Tar. Uh, help, this beast can kill all other BS with 3-5 full bursts. Yes, it can. That's OP, we have to nerve it! No, you didn't. Yes, you should see that the Ish'tar is a beast against PoB's and Cap-Pilots with low skills. But against Bombers it's only an extrem huge target. It has only 7 secoundarys and move like a Humpback whale on the beach. Did you ever try to dock this ship at a station? If you did this without 3-10 minutes in more than two of ten tries, you are really lucky. Especially when you try to dock a a Base where the Speedock-Point isn't visible like the Dur-Shurrikun in Omicron Iota. Or a Nomad-Tradelane/Nomad Jumpgate. The Ish'tar is arround 50% larger than a Marduk and now they have the same powercore? Even a Rheinland-BS is small against an Ish'tar, so if you really think you have to nerve it, you should do your job complete and also reduce it's size! But sorry, this was a really bad job. RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - Venkman - 05-03-2020 Not really a Game Masters feedback is it? RE: Game Masters Feedback Thread - Hemlocke - 05-03-2020 (05-03-2020, 10:33 PM)Nightowl Wrote: This Feedback is for the Balance-Defs who made the last Patch. all posts on the discovery official forums must be in understandable and readable english. Also, a BS being a massive target for bombers means nothing, flaks exists, and so do CDs, which any of it's allies can take into battle, if you're flying an ish'tar alone, of course you're going to get utterly destroyed if you're good the stat change won't matter much, docking with it wasn't hard, just took me a few tries to learn how in single player, you could ask them to fix that instead of whining about a nerf. If you don't like the job they did, put in some time and become a balance dev so you can do it yourself, ez pz. |
