I know that no one cares and all, but i had an idea. I know i'll probably get flammed for this and all but:
I was thinking, all the us peeps have problems with the server and all the EU players love it. So so suite everyones needs why dont we have 2 servers? i mean a "Discovery 24/7 EU Server" and a Discovery 24/7 US Server"
They can both be offical servers and all and when we have events it will be easier because there will be events at a certian time for EU players and then the same event at a better time for Us players. Player files wont be a problem because of this. I mean think about it, yes its "spliting" the community in 2 in a way, but making it better also.
This is just an idea I had and it can be developed farther. If you have an good helpful comments on this idea please post them. Thanks!

This idea is definitely going to make people take sides. Here's why.
Some people will vote in favor of "The community sticks together" and will let the US people wallow in their lagginess, and by some people, I mean the Europeans.
Everyone that lives in the US will vote in favor of two servers because they're willing to split the community in exchange for no gazelling.

Josh, Asymptotic, could you please use another thread? This one was about building a new dedicated official server in EU, there was a poll, majority agreed, admins agreed, I started building it up.
Noone prevents you to run a Discovery US server, just please use another thread, people might get confused.

The community will not be split between two servers.
Ping is not critical to fl. Hell, I have always 300 of ping, and I can beat 98% of the players here. Even the ones with pings like 100 or less.
This is not a FPS, where ping means life or death.
Now. we go back to topic.

Asymptotic. Please don't tell me what I'll do. I don't want two servers. I don't care if my ping sucks, we are not splitting this community. I'll play as long as the server's up. Anyway, i have a good connection, and my pings are usually low.

all up. Thats why I wouldn't have voted for you in the first place.
As for us 'Euros', if the choice had been to have the server back in the states, I would have gone for that
option too ...
So Asymptotic, you will have to go with the democratic flow ... And I think you may find you are in a little
bit of a minority there. Selfish or what ... Think you may find the community is a little more like minded
than you give it credit for ...

M'hell yes. Living on the west coast is probably the farthest I can get from EU, and I would still much rather have an EU server than 2 of them. Next time you go telling us what to think, get your facts straight.

Let's just get over it all and get that server up and running...I do not really care where the bloody server is as long as Discovery has its own personal playground...
