Played that back in the day... Surround sound, no lights, dead of night. Creeping through the corridors with the motion tracker blipping, then my dad popped in, turned the volume right up, and left me alone... *shudder*

Silent Hill series trips me out, imagery is intense but the background music really sets an atmosphere.
This had reminded me that I had come across Silent Hill Origins, I think I'm gonna pull out my old school console and play through it.

The haunted asylum used to freak me out. As well as the walking, muttering to self living statues.
And the pagans and their beasts.

F.E.A.R wasn't all the scary for me although I've only played the first one was only started when i was looking for something behind me and fall into one of the black monster hole things
and according to this guy...... playing doom 3 alone in the dark....... is scary.
