Discovery Economy Reformation - Not Espi - 03-29-2010 what mjolnir is saying did cross my mind, but if the change is not too extreme (like 200% prices increase as suggested, wtf?) the trading will not be reduced that much. I am glad you responded. Not 100 million per hour, closer to 50 million per hour, but most likely 40 million per hour. People will always trade. There will be new blood, new purchases, wiped accounts, trading factions and so on. It will not stop, by increasing profitability of trade routes to 40 million per hour. Also, the below will happen. Discovery Economy Reformation - arvg - 03-30-2010 please, I am fast loosing the will to trade. I just don't have the time to spend on it like I used to, and it is now getting in the way of RP. I want to spend my time working with groups and encouraging others. BUT when I am spending hour-upon-hour a week trying to get the funds to do it, when it comes to RP time, I just don't have the energy. I want to reduce the time spent grinding away and increase my time spent on story line. I don't care, really, if there a hundred cap ships floating about going LOLwut all day long... they will get bored and they will go away. Let me focus on what I need to focus on, please, to make this game fun again. I really am hitting a point where I am wondering if it is worth it. Discovery Economy Reformation - Exsiled_one - 03-30-2010 Keep in mind something very important. Mining prices were nerfed because of this very community's requests and whinings about constant pirates. just keep that somewhere in back of your head. like guilt. Discovery Economy Reformation - NonSequitor - 03-30-2010 I'm not sure why no one has seriously considered simply lowering the prices on vessels and equipment across the board. In particular, the big-ticket items. That way you could keep the mining and trade routes as they currently are. Credits would have more purchasing power. Discovery Economy Reformation - Exsiled_one - 03-30-2010 True, but I doubt you can persuade the pirates to ask less cash then. Hm... That needs to be brought back, or I need a higher magnification on my glasses to see them in the current rules. There has always been constant pirates anyway, well atleast aslong as I've been playing discovery there has been. Which should really be another reason why trade routes need to be improved. Because really, you can't move anywhere without being harrassed by pirates screaming "GIVE ME 2MILLION!". Discovery Economy Reformation - Exsiled_one - 03-30-2010 I wouldn't know. Such general statements can be harmful to our server's gameplay or to new person's roleplay. I have convoyed many times and didn't pay as much as 10 million, but then again - i moved out of liberty. Keep in mind that not every route is full of pirates, and keep in mind that if you pm a military or police to escort you, they usually will do so. |
