It's interesting, how would one apply for such a group?

I somehow don't see Gallia being able to beat the Dragons in their Chugoku system. They are masters of hit and run in the shifting clouds and amongst the constantly moving asteroids there. Gallian tactics would have to change radically to be able to operate in that environment and large scale operation are not feasable there, it would have to be small strike team work using only fighters as even gunboats are at a distinct disadvantage there and capital ships would be virtually helpless in there and anything other than small teams would be to unwieldy to control in such an environment. Sending in small strike teams of fighters against the Blood Dragons in their own territory where they train every day, is something the Dragons would look forward to with great pleasure.

As regards finance, the Blood Dragons have means of finance in place that are not common knowledge, even amongst the Dragons themselves. These include finance from Dragon sympathisers operating inside Gallia already as well as certain individuals running commercial businesses of all kinds, both lawfull and unlawfull, in various parts of Sirius who regularly contribute to the Blood Dragon Coffers. So continuing finance would not really be that much of a problem for them.

Erm, first of all, the Gallia - Kusari conflict happens in Taus. Not in Kusari, much much less in Chugoku. There's quite the possibility Dragon ships wouldn't meet the GRN in the course of the short war at all.

Secondly (and somewhat off-topic), main Dragon sugar daddies are the GMG. And probably some sympathisers in Kusari itself yeah, but the majority of the funding comes from the Gas Miners - it's a mutually benefitial relationship ensuring GMG's fuel monopoly.

Probably getting an ID, like joining the Bretonian Privateers.

' Wrote:Blood Dragon players and factions, as well as GC players and factions for quite some time have complained about the lack of activity in Kusari because the KNF, the main enemies of those two factions are in Bretonia. The Kusari story line was designed to develop activity between Kusari factions in Kusari. This is all done with the hope of bringing more activity and more life to Kusari.

The clear goal of the KNF on it's return to Kusari, is to deal with the Blood Dragons. This should bring a much needed boost in activity to the Blood Dragons, and a reason for them to spend time in Kusari.

(people, why discuss Kusari developement update in a Liberty thread?)

Well, it might... Though I think that Samura getting some good Gallic trade routes and gas mining (assuming it will be implemented) spots in Hokkaido and Honshu would do even more for Blood Dragon activity. :nyam:

All in all, a grim situation for your caracter (and faction) can also spell a fun situation for you as a player. So I can't really understand people whining about their factions taking the short end of the stick in RP. If it means activity round where your faction operates, grab it with both hands and don't let go of it.

@podgie bear: Well, as the current ]bd[ faction leader, I fully support individual RP amongs Blood Dragons... To an extent. Blood Dragons are a more diverse group as some people seem to think. Not all of them hate "Gaijins", not all of them support the same kind of tactics in dealing with Samura and KNF and not all of them share the same views about pirating - some do, some don't.

But they do, however, all fight in the name of Hideyoshi. And, to put it bluntly, when they're needed in Kusari the most, to head out of the house to fight an enemy that isn't directly threatening their interests and the people they wish to protect... Well, such a group would probably be better off with a different ID, cause their agenda would hardly be a Blood Dragon agenda anymore. Like the Ronin and KNF, for example. I can't see the Ronin operating with a normal KNF ID, can you?

Taking a look at the updated map and then searching on the forums... I can't really find any references to what Rishiri is? On the wiki it is in the "New Systems" section but that is obviously outdated and says nothing other than a "Samura" system.

Did Samura pioneer this new system when Kishiro began to overtake them politically and financially in a failed bid to regain their dominance? The updated map lists it as having jump gate access from Hokkaido and even to Nagano? Is this in the game and I just don't know about it:crazy:?

Anyone care to enlighten me as to what's going on here?

edit: Oh, map is here

That's a good question. In 4.85, there's a Chugoku Gate Construction site in Hokkaido. In 4.86, judging by the map, there is still no jump gate link from Hokkaido to Chugoku, but there is a gate link to Rishiri. What, were they were drilling for Chugoku but popped out and discovered the new system of Rishiri instead?

There are no references to Rishiri nor Hokkaido in this Storyline. Plenty of Gallia stuff, of course.
