Axel was born into a worker family. His father was an Daumann employee all his life. His mother worked at a local market. With 13 he discovered his love for mining and metal works.
In the following years he learned as much as he could about the mining and ore, how to refine it and how to pick the right mineral for the desired end product. He often listened to story's of trading and mining ship workers at local Bar's though he never thought about joining one of the big mining companies.
At 816 A.S. his mother died on cancer. His father lost his job and began drinking,not able to get over the loss of his beloved wife. It was to much for Axel to take too. Losing his mother and then seeing how his father slowly fell into misery.How he became more and more self hatred and mournful.
Axel abandoned his planet side life and instead went to get a place as a Kruger trainee.
As things worked out Axel did in the end get the chance to serve aboard a small mining vessel in Omega 7. The Klausenberg was neither a modern or an automated ship. There was still plenty of hand work to be done and the young boy soon realized that mining was indeed hard, dirty work. Though he learned and grew with the work he was doing, soon working his way up from the storage deck to the mining laser controls and finally to the bridge itself.
In 818 A.S. Axel was working with a small crew aboard a smaller mining ship. Now under his own command. However shortly after taking command an unlucky incident with a BMM worker led to his suspension. Not only did the same happen to the BMM worker with the Name of John Burghard, even worse the two met at Freeport 6 one day and immediately started a fight. Both ended up sitting in the same prison cell for 3 full days. In the end the 2 Men ended up becoming something between respected enemy and true friends. After both had canceled their contracts with Kruger and BMM they began a life as free miners, mostly working for Zoners in and around the Omegas.
With 820A.S. change not only came to the big Companies but also to the freelancers and free miners. With space more dangerous than ever and John learning that his best years are nearly over the days as free miners were over. Together with the old man, that has become something like a second father to Axel (though he would never say that openly) ,Axel has returned to Rheinland to find a new job as a company miner.

Tell us more about you (short bio): I was born on Planet Hamburg in the 800AS, my father was working for the Republican as a heavy transport captain, unfortunately, he was ambushed by a special strike group of pirates when he was hauling important goods for the Military, and he, and all his crew and escorts, died.
I always admired him, and I decided to get further him and become a advanced train captain. My mother, she was educating us, me and my brother, at home, because we lived far from the nearest city. She educated me very good, maths was my favourite subject, there I learned everything I needed to become a good and successful man. I was ambitious, so I started some light business online, and there I discovered the passion I had towards business, trading, mining rare materials, etc.
My father had a small trade ship before the heavy transport, so when he bought the transport, he parked the trade ship at home. So when I grew up, at 18, I took my first trip into space, before that I arranged myself a trade mission, so I could get started. After I made some money, I returned the small trade ship to my family, as a memory, and bought a Hegemon, a big miner, got all the permissions, and started my mining business in Omega 7. Thanks to the Kruger, I moved up very quickly, so I am now here.
And about my brother, I don't hear any news from him 2 years.
