RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Arbs - 01-30-2017 Hey. I'm NOT saying I'll go straight up and shoot you and hunt you to the end of the world or something. I just said I don't know what to expect yet, because that treaty thingy isn't finished as it's a transitional moment and it's nothing said and done yet. Don't misunderstand me please. I'm neither logging to kill you or hunting you or whatever. Saw you on NY, expected the worst, so I was prepared for the worst. Rather safe than sorry. But that still does NOT mean that I was going to lead a crusade on you specifically or something. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Vendetta - 01-30-2017 (01-30-2017, 11:17 PM)Arbs Wrote: Hey. Okay. My bad. Its been a long weekend for us. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Durandal - 01-30-2017 January 30th, 2017. Justin posted in [LN] feedback. Mistakes were made. And we apologize for the inconvenience. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Durandal - 01-30-2017 (01-30-2017, 11:30 PM)Ghostazarashi Wrote:(01-30-2017, 11:27 PM)Durandal Wrote: January 30th, 2017. Just referring to the unwanted Aux drama I apparently caused D: RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Apollon - 01-30-2017 It's okay I forgive you justin RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Jack_Henderson - 02-16-2017 Just a question, as I could not help noticing that it looks as if Liberty was going for an Fr5 against AFC. (the "Supreme Court" very much sounds like it - correct me if I am wrong in that assumption). Going by this assumption: Do you really think that 4 incidents that are spread out over 2 years of gaming (sometimes with many days of activity per month and a focus on playing in and around Liberty) justifies an FR5? Furthermore, it also seems that most of these "crimes" were dealt with in space (e.g. by "drop cargo", confiscation, etc). Since when is "double punishment" a thing? Moreover, some of these "crimes" were just really small. Roleplaycargo amounts of contraband... are now being cited to work towards a FR5 that causes real harm? Really? I would not say anything if a smuggler group had been caught like... 20 times in 2 years... or around 10 times in brazen 5kers-full-of-Cardi in NY lanes... situations. That would signal "carelessness", but seriously: less than a hand-ful of times, sometimes not even "smuggling per se", and all of this spread out over a long time? I find that the thread looks "try-hard"-ish, with evidence being dug up from years back, just to try to frame someone. Question 2: What do you win by FR5ing a smuggler group? Is there any positive effect except: "Ha! We 'punished' them [for playing their role, and not even badly if they were just caught a few times]!"? I hope I am wrong in assuming that you guys really want to try the FR5 for such a case. Because it would - at least for me - just say one thing: you play more in order to ruin someone else's fun than creating your own, because how much fun can this be if you have to check years of screenshot just to come up with that "but I found something!"? RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Tabris - 04-23-2017 Once again Liberty thank you for encouraging my members to visit and RP. Surely a bastion of role-play and fair-play. By the way that was a joke. 4 LABC's and multiple fighters on a single Destroyer (which due to it's nerfs cannot compete anymore with an LABC by itself) is not how I expected you to handle the situation. It makes my players want to do even less with Liberty than before. I highly recommend that you folks get it together before folks decide never to visit Liberty and eventually leave you nothing to interact with, already Liberty has a reputation that frankly leaves much to be desired. Once again thank you for showing my players how 'fair' the Liberty population is and for me to steer any and all Role-Play away from Liberty from now on. - A very concerned Faction Leader. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Impyness - 04-23-2017 Since I was at this fight as well, RP was attempted at the end after the ship had been completely stripped of all equipment. The person involved decided to simply cruise away repeatedly while we attempted a boarding style RP, something that could have proven very interesting. So the roleplay was there. On your argument about getting a fair fight, I'd like to ask about these previous instances where SCRA has destroyed civilian ships without giving them any chance to actually talk their way out of it. http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1727&pid=1881192#pid1881192 http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1727&pid=1880082#pid1880082 http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1727&pid=1882796#pid1882796 And especially all the ones blown up http://imgur.com/a/elMid here It seems like a very bad idea to let ANY SCRA ship sit around liberty with even the slightest chance to survive or escape when you're destroying civilian ships with no way out for them. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Tabris - 04-23-2017 As far as I see Impy those were 1-1 encounters which is not what I am annoyed about here. What I am talking about is the 'use sheer numbers against 1 target' mentality that Liberty seems afflicted with. http://i.imgur.com/KeOWh7G.png That speaks for itself. Furthermore Boarding RP is considered Power-Gaming unless both sides have agreed to it. Do you really expect my people (or person in this case) to stick around while he/she is nuked by 4 LABCs + Fighters? Of course not. In any event it would have only taken 1 LABC to take out a single Destroyer. Instead you went the nuclear option which frankly just generates ill will from both sides and encourages them not to interact with one-another. In any event I've given my folks their orders about Liberty. I can only hope that Liberty in time improves it's player-base and ability to restrain itself from the 'Quest for the Blues' at any costs. |
