Greyhound...again - tansytansey - 11-14-2009 If the Greyhound got rebalanced to use x1 T/CD x1 CD that would make it a rather slow HF. Then we'd have an over-sized LF, slow HF, large/slow VHF, large/slow Bomber. Greyhound is supposed to be the lighter relief in the middle, to offer us an alternative to an otherwise very heavy ship line. I'd prefer the Greyhound to get x4 class 10 weapons back than an extra CD slot. It is our choice to use a mini-razor or not, the balance of our ship should not incorporate weapons used into the balance. It's not really fair on those people who don't use the weapon. That pretty much shows that you never flew the Werewolf...and I very much doubt that you flew Greyhound since update 2. Just like most people posting that it needs to be upped in this thread. Maybe follow Marvin's example and actually try it first? Just like I did. Greyhound...again - schlurbi - 11-14-2009 I fly the Werewolf. It is big and compared to the Guardian it is much slower. Unless the Werewolf has changed in update 1/2 then you're wrong about that. I flew a Werewolf for quite a few months in both 4.84 and 4.85, and I had fun with it. I'd make no complaints towards it's balance even though I lost every fight I ever entered with it. As for update 2 Greyhound, I've flown with Sammaels on my Greyhound to know the difference between having codes and not having them is even without flying it. That is, after all, the only real change I'm arguing against in update 2. I did fly the Greyhound in update 1, and I would be flying it now if I had internet. And yeah, despite that, I have flown the Greyhound with x4 class 9 guns and a class 5 turret. I submitted a fixed up model for the Greyhound a while ago which included a turret. I don't know if you used that one or not for this update, you probably should include it next update since it fixes the clipping problem the pilot model was having with the cockpit. Greyhound...again - MarvinCZ - 11-16-2009 What Mjolnir meant is, that you apparently don't know the Werewolf. It is large and FAST. Faster-than-Guardian fast. Size is worse than speed grasshoppah. Greyhound...again - MarvinCZ - 11-16-2009 I wasn't giving any balance statement about the Werewolf. I'm just saying they don't know what they're talking about. Faster-than-Guardian fast.If by fast you mean travels at a whopping 350m/s in cruise, then yes, it's fast, but not faster than a Guardian. If by fast you mean turning and accelerating... I want whatever it is that you're taking. Also, you understated just how enormously huge of a target it is. |
