RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - sindroms - 07-13-2015 I am more amused that you are upset about the battleship, when you yourself flew three full-solaris gunboats and a dessie and a snub, while we had dual nova bombers. Let me just remind you that the particular setup we use is not meant for taking down gunboats and LSCs, unless you count physically ramming your side, launch one nova and HOPE that my shield was up at the time. Nah, that battle could have gone both ways. But your gunboats decided to fly 100m away from the battleship and ended up getting pasted by it. For petes sake, the battleship was one of those people, who had primaries and secondaries firing in one group. If you managed to die to that then...well, feel free to join LR- maybe you too can learn how to survive in a cap-heavy environment in a gunboat or smaller. RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Sciamach - 07-13-2015 Should I have tried to moderate an indie? Probably, but past history with that has shown that they won't listen no matter what I do so I've basically stopped bothering at this point unless it's something hugely important. Besides, in-lore the character I was flying was a slave so a slave trying to order a dreadnaught captain around would make about as much sense as a monkey having tea with a glacier at sundown. I'd feel worse about it if 10 minutes of my life weren't wasted by a ship that was running away constantly while none of us could hit it because the pilot felt they would just annoy us because we killed their friends. Lets just all call it a day and hang this mess up shall we? RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Sarawr!? - 07-13-2015 @Spazzy Only two of our gunboats were equipped with Solaris, Mine has full primaries...anyway, Originally we were hunting for Cali Blue (who we knew to be a Gunboat), and the two indie ships who were with him, who we thought might be Gunboats as well but turned out to be bombers. As for the battleship, he was doing a pretty good job coming to us. But lets not argue semantics here; the main point is that as the official Libertonian unlawful presence involved, you could have elected to change the situation, and you did not. RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Pinko - 07-13-2015 Now, Spazzy, I know you're mostly right, and I honestly don't mind the encounter. Personally, I've had my fun, even if I don't know how to use TS or anything. (In was hugging the BS in the hopes that it would act as a torp magnet, shows you how little I know about PvP) I think Sarah's point here is more about indie control than it is about how the fight went. What happened to the Rogues that'd make them tolerate OC battleships within Liberty space? Back in the days, you and I as well as the other Rogues killed so, so many OC caps together for shits and giggles. To say that you didn't have control over the indie in Liberty space is just plain lying. Even the Cross, from the logs you've shared, seems to agree that it wasn't his job to leash him. Who's duty was it, then? RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - sindroms - 07-13-2015 Change the situation how exactly? What would have happened if the battleship disappeared? Now you have 3 Gbs and a snub against the fattest, easiest to hit bombers in the game, if you do not count the Fafnir. Would it then be my turn to post in your thread? Oh, and do not even try to mention the gunboat, you were too busy shooting the barghests anyway, hoping to score at least a few blues before it was over. My point still stands. You were 15k away from Riverside. If your pride does not allow you to dock, then at least go down fighting in glorious flames, rather than try to rationalize something that could have never been a fair fight in the first place. Not with the ships present. LR- are not nice people. And while this sounds like an OORP excuse, it is not meant to be. Yes, feel free to dump your LNS fleet on us. You know. The way it has been for years now. Hate the LR-. They are bad people. They are Rogues. They are not bound by morals or a goal, they are in it because they can. They will not think twice to make your day bad, and so shouldn't you in return. RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - sindroms - 07-13-2015 @Pinko We were about to shoot the BS until we got to Riverside fro blowing up your cruiser. At first I thought that it would be ill advised to blow up someone still inside of your group (Heck, Nyx already was starting to post the engagement notice in the system chat), but then we found that your gunboats were already engaged in a fight, all shooting someone and with the BS following. So, since all of them were having fun, we just chose to shoot the gunboats, rather than the BS. RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. The snub didn't show up until well into the fight and well after most of our gunboats were pretty badly damaged. Oh and yes, we would have focused on the gunboat had the battleship not been there. Also I only called the snub in BECAUSE of just how badly things were going in the first place. Quote:LR- are not nice people. And while this sounds like an OORP excuse, it is not meant to be. That may all be true, but why act in a manner as PLAYERS that encourages people to act shitty as players when they deal with you? RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Kauket - 07-13-2015 so uh why didn't you just kite the battleship like 3 gunboats, you have cms, you can evade novas, pretty much no one had a snac, and considering the ln gb is a god at rolling and kiting backwards or you know, dock like what RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Sarawr!? - 07-13-2015 So what I'm getting here is: "Fairplay, screw that! You either fight a gank and deal with it or you dock, because screw you I don't care." Kay, well that's alright. RE: Liberty Rogues LR-. Feedback and community suggestions - Wesker - 07-13-2015 In liberty you never get fair fights |
