At any rate we've got what we wanted to prepare an initial ID. Past that point, it'll get modified depending on how it's used and the general behavior of its users.

Also, thank you Jinx, Jansen and others who voted with their alts on the poll. That certainly help us to have a small idea of the potential interest.

I want this so I can make a nomad fighter/bomber/gunboat and hunt all red I see so people here would be right for once Smile

I AM JOKING OK??? Making nomad characters is too much of a hassle ^.^

People can find excuses to hunt anyone they want anywhere they want anyway, they just need to choose the right ID to hunt the particular ship/person/faction. As a nomad they will only be able to do it within certain systems.

I'd still make these changes to the first post:

-one line for engagement permissions to make the whole thing shorter and easier to understand
-Add Outcasts and/or Gallia to non-engageable faccions so people don't screw with the storyline. The K'Hara can always do that if "required"
-Add Alpha and Gamma if their leaders request it, to avoid lolganks and screwing with the storyline and "I AM YOUR GOD!!! KNEEL!!! KNEEEEELL!" RP towards Outcasts
-Made "cant ally with humans except..." so there wont be a Zoner vs Corsiar revenge-alliance.
-The jumpgate thing seemed to be what you are targetting with the system list? Or am I missing certain systems? Its easier to have only a small list of individual systems listed.
-made it "grouped with" and not "flying with" so they will have to actually be invited, so they dont follow you around and screw everything you do up. In that case you can just keep them out of your group.
-Removed the "cant demand cargo". Hey... if nomads want to build a base with nommy-cloak factory with pirated cargo, everyone should be happy right? If nomads want to blackmail miners to bring them construction materials for said stuff, thats also jsut fine.

I guess the ID should be rephacked green with Noms, H'Hara, Wilde, and white-no-landing with Outcasts.

Test it shoot it and if all goez well make it happen it's a good idea tho we will see more often swarms of indie vigilante style Nomads if you make the ID "GOES EVERYWHERE and SHOOTS EVERYTHING THAT'S RED" kinda thing so test it well before make it possible plz

So it not be abused, add like... if nomad want to get out at a certain place he should need credits to pay at gates to be opened, there for like 1 - 3m credit should be on his ship (credit card), this would be more interested for players to hunt them ?!?

From what i undestand, you mean, Indie, as in independant, (not joining or applying).

I stand by my point from 2011, where a good roleplayer, which was independant, like me, who didnt wish to join keeper's (at that time) for the sake of RP development of an lone nomad.

I had pretty much fun in house systems. People where rightfully curious, and so I played the curious one too as I was lone. I barely ever got in combat.

I really think, For indie nomads, the rules should be:

Can only engage if atttacked.
Cannot attack OC/Wilde.
Allowed ships: Nomad fighter
Gear: Prototype nomad lazer (How is it called?)

Thats for proven indie's.
Housesystems rules are making you stay away from good RP inho as main RP's go there. I always preffered to go lone, hunting for RP oocly.

As far as the worries about people making nomad and hunting everyone: I dont support that, but whenever I was a morph, I got hunted too. But thats different, as that is pure DM.

I really think there should be a third nomad ID, which can only be given by admins for this, much like the barge was given.

Sure, make an indie ID for the Noms. It's about time the average Joe saw that Nomad ships and/or RP really isn't all that 'special'.
