With a nod he just stares, unfazed by the stern tone of the candidate.
"I see, so Mr Popov, you've come here today to join the glorious men and women of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army, however I have a few...Questions to ask of you before I even think of allowing you close to the Fighter Corps." he stated, the door of the office opened again and a pair of marines brought in a Datapad for Ben as well as some Earl Grey Tea which Ben accepted, placing the tea-cup on the desk and reading through the data pad.
Setting the Pad in the center of the desk he switched it over to it's recording mode.
"Lt.Colonel Warner's Personnel report, subject Yuri Popov, Admission Interview, Mr Popov, tell me a bit about yourself." requested with a small smile on his face, seemingly 'friendly' all of a sudden.
"Place of birth, your previous employment and your reasons for joining the Fighter Corps of the Coalition if you'd be so kind."

Yuri looked down at the data pad and then back at the colonel. "Sir, I was born on Planet JiangXi. My father worked in a factory that produced hull panels and my mother was a stay-at-home mom. My only place of work has been the H-Fuel storage depots on Zhukovsky. I worked there until a week ago. I came here, to this place, so that I can do my part for the revolution and not be a bystander." He spoke loudly as if trying to make sure the data pad recorded everything.

As the Data Pad recorded the answers he sipped on his Tea, Earl Grey was a bland-tasting tea, but it was the only type he would drink.
"I see, I own a home on JiangXi myself, however nowadays I don't go home often..." he mused mostly to himself before refocusing on the candidate.
"Mr Popov, do you know how the Coalition of Sirius first came into existence?" he asked, wanting to quiz him on his knowledge of their history.

Ben frowned at the very simplistic answer...What the hell were they teaching to their young people nowadays to conjure such a simplistic mindset?!
After setting his tea down he got out of his chair, went around the desk and just stared at him almost boringly before out of seemingly nowhere Yuri was smacked upside the head by Ben's right hand.
"Use your head boy!" he shouted before returning to his seat, calmed down and unamused.
"Always try to give me a full answer, half-wits who cannot provide details tend to get shot around here." he commented before continuing with his questioning.
"So, who was in power before Premier Katz and why is the man before Katz nolonger in power?" he asked.

Shaking his head in annoyance he pulled out his TT-33 Pistol and made sure it was loaded.
"I care little of how you termed our forefathers, all I want is a full and truthful answer from you, now the next thing that comes out of your mouth had better be an answer to my question or you'll know how it is to be as silent as the grave..." he spoke coldly, giving a mild glare to Yuri as he waited for an answer.

Slightly shocked by what had just happened, Yuri regained his composure and resumed answering.
"Details, yes sir. Grand Admiral J. McIntosh was the man in command of our nation before Premier Katz. He was known as a ruthless and paranoid man, but he did bolster our military to an unprecedented level. Now about Premier Katz."
Yuri paused for a second as if he needed to take a breath.
"After the results of the Ontario elections, Premier Katz became the leader of our civilian government. He eventually became the Premier after Admiral McIntosh became incapable of performing his duties due to his health."

Finding the answers sufficient he made sure the safety was on as he prepared to ask his next question.
"Good enough...Now, the Coalition has several enemies within Sirius, including the Outcasts and the Corsairs, here's the situation, three ships meet in Omicron Eta, a Corsair Titan, an Outcast Sabre and a Coalition Insurgent, now what I want to know is who do you attack first, the Outcast...or the Titan?" he questioned, wanting to see if his tactical skills are up to snuff, with his left hand he drank the tea while gripping his TT-33 in his right hand, keeping it aimed in Yuri's direction as he waited for an answer.

She led him to a room and motioned him to sit down. "Today we're honouring a very old Coalition tradition. You'll need luck to survive out there, not just skill, so I'm testing how lucky you are with a little game called..." She loaded a single bullet into her revolver, snapped it shut and spun the chamber. "Russian Roulette." She pressed the gun to his forehead. "You give me an answer I don't like, or do anything to piss me off, I pull the trigger. And we find out just how far your luck will take you. Now, what is your name?"
