RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Wildkins - 09-29-2018 (09-29-2018, 02:26 PM)Thyrzul Wrote: Not to jump in another faction's feedback, but we'll be sorting out this issue and the above laws issue soon™. It'll be more clear. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - GrnRaptor - 09-29-2018 (09-24-2018, 04:48 PM)LNS-Miami Wrote: how to join your faction? There's an application thread on our forum that contains both RP and OORP questions for your character. We will evaluate your answers and give our response in due course. Please note that we are primarily a snub oriented faction and that you will not be turning your warship into [LN]-LNS-Miami any time soon even if you were permitted to join, so if that's your motivation then please reconsider before applying. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Thexare - 12-13-2018 I have no idea where to put this, because it's a LibGov matter instead of any one lawful Liberty faction. If you're going to have a forum for contacting your government, I would apprecaite if you'd have the courtesy to respond in a reasonable timeframe. Nearly two months ago, I posted a request for two Executioners for my Cryer faction. I've adjusted my plans since and those ships no longer fit anyway, but this seems like a genuinely absurd amount of time to not even get a request for information, a "please hold", or a "lol no". RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Inferno - 12-13-2018 Well OK, I felt I had some feedback about my faction but alas. I'll bring it up, but I'm not happy about it. There is always LibGov PM that you could remind us. From the looks of it, we decided against the request in Oct 17th but forgot to post a response. We will try be more organised. Thank you for feedback. ~LibGov RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Greylock - 01-30-2019 I'm going to be a nice guy and use your template. Your character name : LR-Pegged.Promotion Situation, policy or incident you are providing feedback on: A fight over by Rochester Screenshots or other related materials: https://youtu.be/5tu0FfPjX7k What you believe should be done about the situation: So, here I am, with a Sarissa and Atlantis shooting at me, and I'm already getting my ass handed to me. But you guys felt the need to stack on with a Battlecruiser. I suggest you guys improve your policy on ganking. I have come to expect such behavior from indies. Very poor performance from an Official Faction. The standards that you have for your members are lacking. RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Hemlocke - 07-17-2019 Your character name (if applicable): <LR-Hemlocke> Situation, policy or incident you are providing feedback on: <A meeting outside West Point Military Academy> Screenshots or other related materials: What you believe should be done about the situation: <Uh, nothing should be done about the situation.> Other notes: <This was an absolutely fabulous encounter, ran into the 3 of your members at West point, was noRP engaged by a freelancer defiant who drained my bots and bats halfway, they told him to f*ck off, absolutely beautiful, then on top of that offered to let me go restock for a legitimate encounter after the freelancer had decided to ruin it. And after I decided to stay they repeatedly gave me a fair fight instead of dog piling me(even though i was a werewolf they probably should have), even though that's what I wanted. You wouldn't see something like that from 5th and I thank you for the best encounter i've had in this game in a very long time. Kudos to you and all your pilots involved in the situation.> RE: Liberty Navy [LN] - Enkidu - 03-23-2021 Your character name (if applicable): A Taurus Raba. Situation, policy or incident you are providing feedback on: There was a bit of an unfortunate situation in Virginia just a few moments ago. Due to my living situation, I'm prone to exceptionally high ping spikes. As a smuggler, me and my faction mate came through Virginia with a desire to meet Liberty Navy players on the way through. We're huge fans of PVP and RP encounters during smuggling runs - they add to the tension and to the suspense. Kudos for logging. Screenshots or other related materials: the encounter Wrote:[23.03.2021 13:03:31] Taurus|Sra.del.Carmen: Turret steer What you believe should be done about the situation: I have a personal rule that if my opponent is suffering from unplayably bad lag, and I know about it, I let them reconnect. Since I can sympathise with the dilemma (I suffer from this issue myself), I usually let that happen. I was in a situation where I couldn't see where my ship was moving, I didn't know what health I actually had, and Davis's ship was in several different positions at once. PVP was impossible, as was RP. I could barely communicate that I couldn't see what was occuring, so I asked to reconnect to the server. Davis instead blew me up immediately instead of waiting for the reconnect. I felt that there was a general lack of trust. Davis seemed to be conflating the InRp issue of being a smuggler that didn't drop their cargo, with the Oorp situation of needing to reconnect in order to have a meaningful PVP encounter. Possibly he thought I was going to try to leave the server as an excuse to avoid the encounter. I wouldn't do that, that would be sanctionable. I was on the edge of being dropped from the server due to connection issues anyway. Davis had a well-equipped bomber, and I had a Raba, so it could have been quite the fight. Unfortunately, I couldn't see Davis as he was pinging between 80k distance and 500m distance on my screen. I couldn't activate my nanobots or repair batteries, or aim at Davis, as my computer wasn't updating his position. All I could do was ask if I could reconnect, shed some ping, and hopefully give Davis an enjoyable encounter. I died with all of my nanos and shield batteries still in my cargo, without the ability to fire. I did not disconnect from the server without Davis's permission. Instead I sat and took it. There wasn't much else that could be done. The opportunity for some fun RP and a satisfactory fight was effectively removed by an Oorp consideration. This was fairly regrettable and diminished enjoyment on my end. I'd like to tell Davis, and the rest of LN at large, that you don't need to worry about evasive behaviour. I'll always be happy to encounter you, but If we can't see your RP messages or the positions of your ships, then letting someone with a severely bad internet situation rejoin, come back, and participate, will always be welcome. We will do the same to you in return, naturally. Davis asked me to contact your HC about the issue, so that's how it's going down. Anyhow, thank you for logging in. It's a pity we couldn't get a meaningful encounter out of it. Other notes: TL ![]() |
