RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - lIceColon - 06-11-2014 not sure if this was posted already, but when you are being pursued by npcs, all you have to do is ek, turn around and face them, then they will reduce speed allowing you to escape. Everybody knows but thx for sharing it again ![]() Also did you know that giving Nomads Cardamine was Outcast RP back in 4.85, Nomads were Outcast pets, now Outcasts are Nomad Pets. 8| Had fun feeding a Nomad with that stuff as he always replied with ***(Joy)*** RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - sindroms - 06-12-2014 I remember, when giving liquid cardi to human characters was a big deal. A nomad would carry around one or two units of it at all times and would give it out as an acknowledgement of epic RP encounters or drop them when they died to someone. Either one was considered to be a big deal. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - Zapp - 06-16-2014 The [RM] didn't allow RM indies. You'd get shot if you tried it. Also, to get a Freelancer IFF, you literally had to grind enough BHG missions to get the BHG Core rep four or five times over. There's the slightest positive modifier between BHG and Freelancers. Then you'd have to go everywhere and blow up cargo pods or NPCs for half the factions in Sirius until Freelancers were the only one maxed. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - sindroms - 06-16-2014 We used to be able to die 3 times before we had to leave the system. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - Zapp - 06-16-2014 Fighters could mount super novas, and the only two bombers were the RM bomber and the Waran, I think it was. Xenos used to fly the GMG bomber because the Roc was broken, so the GMG bomber became the de facto generic bomber. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - SnakeLancerHaven - 06-16-2014 Bombers could mount Codenames like Fighters :D and Guard Rep was realy hard to acquire, which you needed to buy a Capital Ship. HELL yeah that took like forever until you got fully guard rep in order to buy a Cap ship which were sold on Guard Systems. Thus the effort and time invested in to get it made them more expensive to sell on forum. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - Pinko - 06-18-2014 Virus, a former admin of Discovery, was stripped of his powers and obligations when it was discovered that he was modding Phantom ships' powerplants and turn rates to give them an advantage in combat. Same thing happened to Bulldog, except with the NovaPG. The NovaPG would also blow the wings off their Katanas, making them near impossible to hit. This was frowned upon by the community. RE: Did you know that.... (Discovery edition) - Fluffyball - 07-15-2014 - The vanilia situation in Kusari was modelled after early Meiji Restoration in Japan, where Shogun lost his ability of leadership and it was the Emperor who gained his power back (after over 300 years of lack of power, because Emperor did not have real power after Ōnin War and during Sengoku Period)? - Current situation in Kusari could be modeled after Chinese's Xinhai Revolution (1911-1912), where Emperor and Qing Dynasty were replaced with presidency and rather corrupt government? - Shogun Hideyoshi is named after the real figure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi? (He gained power after Oda Nobunaga's death and became shogun, but after Hideyoshi died, Toyotomi Family was overthrew and Tokugawa gained all the power and finally united Japan in 1600s.) |
