I tried to Contact the Liner Martinique over the Emergency Frequency but got no Response. I also took a Look into New Berlin but also found nothing. in New Berlin, I Met an Order Pilot that seemed to know of our Situation and offered his help in the Search but well the Rheinland Military had other Plans and a Battlecruiser Forced him back to his Base. I found only some Stations and Jump Holes In Omicron Gamma. I will search the Neighboring systems tomorrow if we dont get new Information before, to be honest, this gets a Bit Frustrating. almost like Hunting one of these Ghost ships from the Old Spooky Storys, the ship is Like a Ghost so it wouldn't wonder me if this one Would Glow while Fog comes from her Hull when we Find her. I will continue the search till we find her or know what happened with her Safe Skys, Samuel Fuentes Capitan OS&C|TE-Cloud-9 > > > > Closing Transmission < < < <

![]() Location: OS&C|SEC-Ikarinohi, Freeport 9, Omicron Theta To: Johnathan Seabourne; Spa-SEC Stewards Encryption:Spa-SEC#Alpha Subject: Late Martinique Report Good day Director Seabourne! I apologise for this delayed report upon the first search for the missing Liner Martinique. The damage to Ikarinohi was more extensive than anticipated. As Captain Fuentes already reported OS&C|SEC-Ikarinohi and OS&C|TE-Cloud-9 conducted a preliminary search for the missing Liner on the day befor yesterday. We went from Baden-Baden to Dresden through a Jumphole I discoverd in the Ostnebel behind Baden-Baden. I found it, when I made an extended patrol of the immediate surroundings of Baden-Baden. That Zwetschgenwasser was able to vanish in the system bothered me. Now I probably know how he was able to sneak away and we have to be aware of this backdoor to Stuttgart. From Dresden Captain Fuentes searched for a way to the Omega Systems and found another Jumphole just 30k away from the previous one, still in the Daumann Lavafield; it lead to Omega-55. Thus this way was plausible for Martinique to use. We first looked of course to the Core Station Dagger Oupost as well as the immidiate surrounding. We found of course no trace of our Liner. Captain Fuentes and myself had the same idea, that the rockformations within the Ferner Field might be of particular interest for Captain Nellen and his passangers. Thus we went there and found a Jumphole leading directly to Omega-58. We searched within this dark System, well aware of the dangers lying within the Dark Matter Storms. We found further connections to Omicron Gamma and Omicron Theta, but no sign of the Liner. Within the pockets of Dark Matter we found the wreck of the lost Battleship Canaan and a damaged Bount Hunter Fighter, nothing else. We continued to Omicron Theta, where I stopped at Freeport 9. The radiation damage Ikarinohi received in Omega-58 was extensive and I did not want to endanger the ship or the crew any further. Repairs took some time thus I was not able to file this report earlier. A special note to all Spa-SEC Stewards commanding Fighter-Class ships: From the Bounty Hunter Fighter in Omega-58 I was able to salvage an interesting weapon, codenamed "RAGNAROK". I have it currently in my hold. Since I can't use it on my ship, I will hand it over to anyone from you, who is interested. Just drop me a message. Communication. but I wanted to write a log to so you have all the Necessary Information when you Deal with this Crazy Unioners. Today the Velvet was on the way to New London as my Long Range Scanners Spotted the Liner Martinique, I had my Long Range Scanners Programed to Report if her Transponder will be Spotted. I Immediately Contacted her Over Long Range Comms, at first I thought there will be no Response maybe I was a bit Influenced by Fuentes Ghost Storys. but then the Ship Responded but sadly the Comm we got from this Unioner where True. he identified himself as Yannick Starck, after that I Immediately contacted you while I keep him on the Comm. I will Add the Conversation we had in the Attachment, so you and our Lawyers can use it in this Matter this is a Goddam Nightmare, to be honest. but I think this one is More Interested in Money than Ideological things. but we should Take his demands Serious. I offered a Direct Meeting and would have offered my self as a Replacement Hostage if this would set our Liner and its Peapole Fee, but a Direct Meeting was not Accepted. but he said he will at least provide us with the Evidence that he Have the Liner, I made Clear that we want a Living Prove. I am sorry that I couldn't do More Jonathan, it is now in your hands. I will Stay in Rheinland to Bring our Guests Home after they where Released. Location: Planet Curacao To: Chairman Seabourne, Board of Directors Subject: Martinique Ransom Good day Mr Seabourne, members of the board, I understand at the moment that negotiations for the ransom of the Martinique are under way. Call me pessimistic, but I recommend a security detail sweep the ship and that nobody at an essential executive level should be present at the exchange ceremony or on the ship upon returning. In addition, I propose that the ship be evacuated using existing OS&C assets rather than transporting the passengers back in the liner. These terrorists have already killed 47 people on board and are fully intent on killing more if the ransom demands are not met. I do not trust them to fully keep their end of the deal.
At the very least, I suggest some degree of caution when dealing with them. Regards, David Crooke Director, Orbital Spa & Cruise > > > > Closing Transmission < < < <

While I appreciate the delicate situation that Orbital finds itself in I feel compelled to ask if a billion credit ransom is even worth 1800 odd passengers and crew, let alone an aging soon to be decommissioned liner. As Orbitals Director of Travel and Tourism a few short years ago we faced what was, at the time, the largest loss of life with the Mindoro Massacre within the Fleets history. Since that time not only have we lost the Luxury Liner Mackinac, we have seen profits fall across the sector, entire houses fall pray to revolution and one cannot forget the general piracy increase. Additionally a records check shows that the Martinique isn't even apart of Orbitals current Fleet Management System. Meaning this entire operation was being run without the Directors consent or knowledge, and more importantly I feel, without posting the vessels profits to Orbitals Operation Account per guidelines. In short these sorts of things happen and the board would be ill advised to pay out any ransom that allows a bounty charge of over 100,000 credits a head on a Liner who refused to compete a simple registration form for our administrative staff or even contribute to our Operations Fund. The Martinique Ransom reasonably shouldn't run Orbital more than 200 million credits even if they had registered with our fleet management system. Anything more than that, to be blunt; would make it cheaper to pay a P.R. firm to scrub the interlink of any mention of the Martinique. Location: Planet Curacao To: Captain James Blackwood, Board of Directors Subject: Martinique Ransom With regards to the current situation, I am in agreement with captain Blackwood on this matter. However, there are concerns regarding the PR fallout that is occuring right now. I have my doubts over the capacity of any PR firm in Sirius to scrub all mentions of the Martinique due to how big the issue has gotten.
I offer a counter proposal. We forge the process of transferring the credits. Instead of transferring it to the Unioners, we transfer it to an account of the same name that is under our control. This way Neural Net Banking can at least confirm a transaction is made. When the Unioners say we have not paid up, we show them and the whole of Sirius the document. They will then proceed to deny the transfer of credits and dispose of the passengers and crew. In the end, its the word of Orbital Spa & Cruise against that of a bunch of Unioner terrorists. The Unioners are branded as inhumane terrorists that would kill hostages even after ransom is paid. This solution will mean the loss of an aging liner, all crew and passengers on board and will hurt our PR pretty badly, but at the same time it ruins the Unioner's reputation and the only financial losses involve paying for the forging of accounts. ID: Caitlyn Cross Location: Red Velvet Club Planet New Berlin System New Berlin To:David Crooke and James Blackwood Encryption:Atlantis Trident Subject: Martinique Internal use Only Greetings Mr Crooke and Blackwood well, I see the Points you are Making Gentlemen. but before I come to them, please for god sake use some Encryption when you talk about something like this. or the next Idiots we have to deal with are probably the Lane Hackers, that want ransom for this Conversation. and now to the Martinique this Ship is a Giant mess, and Yes the Demand is fucking high, yes she is not part of our official Fleet and I would rather hunt her down because of a wild Infestation than to pay a Bunch of Murders that much money. but unfortunately, this thing is gotten way too big to hide it under the carpet, and that our own news agency couldn't keep their mouth shut is a damn Scandal of its own. we should control the news about this, not some Reporter that wanted to prove something. now my Suggestion I would try to get the Imperial Rheinland Government involved in this. this is there Citizens so they can pay a share of this. I mean they Started this Coup with the Unioners as there allies, claiming that their days of Terrorism are over. well to me this doesn't look like these days are over, this looks like they just started. this was made by the allies of the Imperial Rheinland Government so they should hold accountable to. also, Gentleman Imagine it would be your Families onboard that ship we are Responsible to at least try to get them out. it would also help our PR. Location: Planet Curacao To: Subdirector Caitlyn Cross Subject: Martinique Ransom I assure you that this channel is highly secure and is heavily encrypted. I understand that from a humanitarian standpoint you are concerned, but at the same time there are profit margins that must be maintained. This is already a PR disaster and we are in the midst of discussing other solutions that may reduce the impact on our image and help retain those profit margins.
If you wish to channel your anger, remember that the people responsible for this are the Unioners. They were the ones who held a liner filled with innocent people ransom and killed 47 in the process. Regards, David Crooke Director, Orbital Spa & Cruise > > > > Closing Transmission < < < <

Time is of the essence. While we have had this discussion one, perhaps two, paying guests have died as a result of our inaction. I am inclined to believe Director Crookes plan presents the least risk to Orbital overall and will further more shift blame of the hostages deaths off of Orbital and onto the Unioners. If we delay much longer though the executions will continue and those deaths will be pinned on our inaction. Director Cross, Orbital has preformed such feats of blame shifting in the past. Those people were dead the moment the liner fell into this hostage situation. All that remains is who will be held responsible for those deaths. We can play the game of who within the Imperial Government of Rhineland is responsible after we spin this situation against the Unioner cause. ![]() ID: Jonathan Seabourne Location: OS&C|Breezewood, Oerlikon Stellar Observatory, Zurich To: OS&C Directors Subject: Martinique Greetings friends, Caitlyn, my heart agrees with you, but as damnable chairman of this corporation, I need to keep us flying. The question is not what is best for the corporation, the question is what is least worst for us. The Martinique was about as terrible a target as the Unioners could have picked to justify a billion dollar ransom. An ageing liner with no future profit, one that has already been replaced and whose routes have been reassigned. One that isn't even a proper OS&C liner, just a franchisee wearing our colors under an independent corporation. One full of Rheinlanders in the middle of a civil war with that house distracted and the rest of Sirius indifferent to a few hundred more. Part of me wishes it had been Breezewood, then it could have at least entertained debate. I'd like to think that you all would make a strong case that my bird is worth a billion, but even I would struggle to make that argument.
Martinique and the PR effort to clean it up are not worth a billion. I should know, I'd be the one publishing most of said PR. We can refocus on Gallia easily enough, especially with Riviera and our Lucullus projects in the works. The question is can we save some souls without destroying the corporation. I've offered 100 million out of White Star Lines's funds, which I have the discretion to do. If he takes it, the corporation is no worse for wear. If he refuses, well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I would like to avoid committing a billion dollars worth of fraud, but I also don't want to finance these terrorists and incentivise more hostage situations. Seems like there are a lot of least worst options we're juggling right now.
