Nomad Incursion into New Tokyo

Around 22:00 SMT yesterday I attempted to respond to reports of a Nomad fleet attacking the New Tokyo system alongside Overwatch agent Valkyrie. I entered the system via the Honshu Jumphole and began my search for the enemy forces. Valkyrie followed behind a few minutes later. We attempted several times to broadcast a system-wide transmission to make contact with the Kusari forces and link up with them, but we received no long-range reply.

Eventually Valkyrie sighted the enemy near planet Fuji and we proceeded to enter combat and assist the defending Kusari pilots left alive. The Nomad fleet consisted of several capital class warforms, half a dozen at least including one seemingly infected Gallic Battleship ID'd as "Ki'shar", accompanied by several snubcraft class warforms. The defending fleet had lost all of its capital assets prior to our arrival leaving us only able to effectively attack the enemy snubcraft while evading the capital ship fire, this occurred with mixed results.

We had attempted several times to draw off the nomad fighters from their fleet long enough to eliminate them, only to have the capital vessels catch up, while the capital ship fire was largely ineffective at harming our fighters, it did prevent us from effectively harassing their fighters in return. I lost contact with Valkyrie during the battle, and determined that there was little we could do but die there pointlessly. After radioing my intent to withdraw to the last remaining Kusari pilots, some of us were able to safely retreat back through the Honshu Jumphole. Wordlessly going our separate ways, I decided take refuge on the Blood Dragon base Hikone nearby for repairs.

I have no information as to the intended goal of the Nomad incursion, or a detail list of the damage they inflicted. Attached are some visual and audio records of the engagement.

OSD — Bionetwork Adaption

Salutations respectable agents of the Order Overwatch,

With the objective of fostering innovation and progression in space technology and ecosystem engineering, I am ecstatic to reveal Project related to Bionetwork research and adaption, an ambitious and highly intricate engineering undertaking. The objective of this project is to establish a bionetwork within the base by fabricating advanced biodomes, which will be engineered to operate as closed-loop ecosystems, capable of recycling vital resources such as water, oxygen, and food. This project will involve the implementation of cutting-edge techniques, drawing upon the latest advancements in the fields of biotechnology, biochemistry, and bioengineering, to create a sustainable and self-sufficient ecosystem within the station. The construction of these biodomes will be a challenging and ambitious endeavor, but with the expertise the members of the Order Science Division, we are confident in our ability to achieve success in this endeavor.

Technology developed by the Inquisitor's biodomes has been successfully transferred to our base on Akabat and has undergone exhaustive examination and analysis by our team of highly skilled scientists and engineers. Through this meticulous process, we have acquired a deep understanding of the capabilities and limitations of this technology, and we will be conducting further investigations to determine its potential applications in space stations. I am thrilled to continue to study its capabilities.

STANDING ORDERS

Attention all field operatives,

it has come to the attention of the Black Fleet that a hostile entity, codenamed 'Caliban', has undertaken a brazen act of insurrection against our organization. This individual, in a clear display of treachery, engaged in hostile action against one of our assets in the vicinity of Freeport 11 and subsequently reinforced their assault with the deployment of two additional radical Core fighters. However, their efforts proved to be futile, as they were unable to overpower our lone asset, a testament to their incompetence as "combatants."

We petition all field agents to exercise the utmost caution and operational security in the event of an encounter with 'Caliban'. This individual, though single-handedly impotent, poses a formidable threat when in command of a fleet. They are to be neutralized on sight, with extreme prejudice. You to exercise the highest level of discretion and are to report any and all encounters with 'Caliban' to the Overwatch immediately. We remind all agents that this individual is a clear and present threat to the security of the Order, Zoners and any civilians. You are to report any and all information regarding the whereabouts and activities of 'Caliban' to the Black Fleet immediately.

It has come to my attention that the apparently "independent" Order cell, codenamed 'Section 8', has failed to adhere to the established protocols for the submission of their monthly reports. This dereliction of duty represents a clear breach of the terms set forth by the Grand Admiral and undermines the operational efficacy of our organization. It is imperative that all independent cells within the Order understand the importance of timely and comprehensive reporting in ensuring the seamless function of our organization. The failure of 'Section 8' to fulfill their reporting obligations calls into question the efficacy of their operations and threatens the stability of the Order as a whole. Therefore, it is obligatory that all field agents exercise the utmost vigilance and discretion in carrying out this directive, and to report any and all findings to the WEDJAT Division. In light of this gross misconduct, it is the directive of the Overwatch that all operatives initiate Protocol Omega-Delta-Epsilon, and conduct a thorough investigation of 'Section 8'. All measures, including destruction, are to be employed against the Subject and its allies to ensure the integrity of the Order.

ARREST REPORT: lilfay

While on my way to join other Overwatch forces escorting the INS-Torment a few days ago, I entered the Omicron Epsilon system just behind the allied fleet. About a minute later, a freelancer named lilfay entered the system behind me via the Mu->Epsilon Jumphole. I had not noticed their presence in Mu before jumping myself. The freelancer was intercepted by myself, Agents Omicron, Stalgrenn, and the CV-Neferhotep.

Scans of the freelancer's ship revealed the presense of both nomad remains and mounted adapted nomad blasters. Under normal circumstances the intruder would be destroyed, but my superiors in the field decided that we would show mercy to this wayward pilot due to their complete and immediate cooperation.

I and Ensign Auren Stalgrenn escorted the freelancer back to Taba Starbase in Mu where they surrendered their nomad technology and submitted to a bioscan without incident, and from their we escorted them through Zeta to the Zeta->Delta Jumphole where they were released with a warning to review Order Overwatch public regulations before returning.

Nomad fleet sighted in Inverness

While observing the current situation in the Inverness system unfolding between Auxesian and Crayter/Bretonian Forces, I sighted a roaming fleet of Nomad cruisers hunting within the system. As this is not typical I decided to immediately report in. Below are attached some of the visual logs and scans I was able to obtain before my cloak ran out. I have also taken the liberty of warning the local Crayter forces of this threat as well with this linked transmission: ATTN: Crayter Forces.

I will continue to monitor the situation and await further instructions near Freeport 14. My full report on the incident will follow once the situation develops or is concluded.

Sekhet Aaru

Following reception of the distress signal transmitted by the OAV Sekhet Aaru, the Unto Nightfall deployed to the Kepler system from whence the signal was calculated to have originated. On February 27th, we encountered the Overwatch vessel OCV Khem by Ames Research Station and were informed that she, too, had rerouted to investigate the distress signal. Her commanding officer and I agreed to cooperate in this matter.

Following twenty-four hours of fruitless search for the Sekhet Aaru, I contacted the Xeno Alliance for assistance.

Today, March 2nd, at 1451 SMT, we received a message from the Alliance vessel White Sands. They reported to have found the Sekhet Aaru at coordinates F7 in the Kepler system. The Unto Nightfall made best speed to their location, where we were joined by the Alliance fighter Phantom 0. The White Sands further reported that the Technocracy of Auxesia had beaten us to the Sekhet Aaru, having found the ACV Eidolon Wraith already making contact with the lost ship.

The Sekhet Aaru was badly damaged. Its weapons, shield and sensor systems, and drives were all offline. Hull integrity had deteriorated to critical levels. Contact was established with the individual Ka, suspected to be a shipboard AI system. Ka reported that the crew of two - made up of an Agent Ba and itself - were in good health but unable to disembark from the vessel.

I attempted to convince the present Auxesians to leave the Sekhet Aaru to the Order - these requests were, unsurprisingly, disregarded.

Following brief deliberation with the present Xenos, I intended to have the Unto Nightfall come alongside and tow the Sekhet Aaru from her location to Ames Research Station for basic evaluation and repairs, then on to the Xeno base Fort Ramsey in Ontario for proper inspection. However, before we could act on this plan, the Eidolon Wraith opened fire on us, damaging our engines. The Xenos engaged the Auxesian warship while the Unto Nightfall distanced herself from the Sekhet Aaru to avoid the ship taking any further weapons fire. Our intention was to come about and engage the Eidolon Wraith to secure the Sekhet Aaru, however, the sudden appearance of the infested warship Ki'Shar immediately off our starboard rendered the situation untenable.

I gave the order for the Xenos to target and and destroy the Sekhet Aaru in order to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Technocracy or the Nomads. The Xenos scuttled the vessel immediately and joined us in our retreat to Fort Ramsey. The fate of the Sekhet Aaru's crew of two is unknown, however we presume both Agent Ba and Ka KIA.

Superficial scans of the Sekhet Aaru and communications logs from the Unto Nightfall as well as a report forwarded to Section 8 by the captain of the White Sands are attached to this report. While we cannot verify all claims made in Henry Stracke's report, its contents are worrying and should be further analyzed.

Captain Hawkins, out.

Kepler Nomad Activity and Persons of Interest

Apologies for the lateness of this report, getting a transmission out from near the Kepler System proved problematic.

Earlier this week onboard the Overwatch gunboat OCV-Khem I diverted from out previously scheduled patrol to the Kepler System after receiving the recent distress signal of the Sekhet Aaru. Upon our arrival in the system we came into contact with the Section 8 vessel Unto.Nightfall. After a discussion about the distress signal in question and the vessel it originated from. we agreed to coordinate our search. While I can now see from recent reports that Section 8 was more successful in the search, we had no such luck out our end.

However, during our sweep of the system we did notice some extremely odd Nomad activity. Attached below are visual and sensor scans of the nomad vessel in question designated Yellow Lambda by our ship's computer. This ship appeared to be a nomad Siris cruiser. Nomad cruisers in the interior border worlds are extremely uncommon, so we started to pursue the target and see what it was up to. Our pursuit of the target started in Kepler Grid 6F near the wreck of the transport McKinley, following it from there to Grid 5B past Nome Base, and ending in Grid 3C at the anomaly cluster known as "The Prophet". It should be noted that at full cruise speed we were unable to keep up with the target, it would routinely pull away from us at an extremely startling speed, and we were only able to reestablish sensor lock on it by extrapolating its previous headings and using some guesswork in predicting its patrol route. Upon reaching the "Prophet" anomaly cluster it seemed to enter one of the anomalies and disappeared, similar in effect to a ship entering a jumphole. No further nomad contacts were recorded in our sweep of the system.

Interestingly, a pair of the locals we encountered near the anomaly cluster at the end of our chase seemed extremely familiar with these kind of nomad incursions into Kepler and shared some concerning bits of information. The pair in question are the freelancers callsigned Jack.Edison and Yankee.Doodle. These two told quite a tale involving Nomad-spawning spatial distortions in Kepler and Tau-23, a possible connection to the Starlight Research Consortium, and three other persons of interest callsigned "Points", "Attlerock", and "Mia". They also mentioned a connection to the Nomad being known as "Entity". I've attached the full text of our discussion below for review by WEDJAT in the event that they wish to follow up with any of the mentioned individuals, or place them under observation. Needless to say that civilian freelancers and researchers having extended and repeated nomad encouters is concerning. Regretfully we were not able to continue a longer discussion with the two freelancers. We were chasing down a lead on the Sekhet Aaru that turned out to be nothing, and by the time we returned no one remained near the anomaly cluster.

The OCV-Khem has sustained some electrical system and hull damage from an extended stay in the Kepler System, so we'll be returning to Fort Carthage for repairs.

Project Damascene Crescendo

Upon the successful culmination of Damascene Crescendo Project, we have, in turn, brought to fruition the establishment of the gorgeous biodome within the advanced precincts of the Damask Research Station. But, before commencing upon an explanation, permit me to express my thorough gratitude to the most esteemed Dr. Sally Wilson, whose assistance has certainly propelled our initial blueprint to unprecedented heights of magnificence. Moreover, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Admiral Solandros, a model of perspicacity, and unique benevolence, for his extraordinary support and strong mentorship, not only towards the expanse of the Damask station but also the the Order Overwatch itself.

We have wrestled with a plethora of stubborn problems in the confines, especially since the departure of our Grand Admiral William Storgen, to whom I pay tribute for his eternal rest. I had the good fortune of encountering this righteous soul on multiple occasions, and his exceptional intelligence, alongside his boundless expertise left a permanent impression on my psyche. His contributions were manifold.

I can confirm our good fortune in harnessing the OCV Inquisitor for such useful purposes. This shall be all for now, until we meet again. There is much work that awaits me. Godspeed.
