The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Atreides2 - 01-19-2010 ' Wrote:It was quite the ugly situation I must say, definitely one that doesn't make the CR look too good. C'mon guys you should know better then that. We were able to stall for enough time for re-enforcements and eventually crush your forces. Maybe we should start making our presence known again with you fella's. -[Cartel].MM.Dawn. Last time i talked with you guys you said , and i think i can remember exactly : "We are not Outcast indies ! " Trying to buy time to get more indies in a fight , very noble. I also can remember some nice fights where you guys didn't shine , where you brought almost the entire alpha , so first watch in your yard better and then come here and start threating us . The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - swift - 01-19-2010 Oh Christ, everyone, please untwist your panties. That means both you, Pavel, and you too Thexare, with your rediculous statements and generalizations. Most people won't understand why I'm going at you here,T., for it's not solely because of what you wrote in your posts here, but because I know how your mindset generally works. Yeah, it's true that it's no excuse 'cause the other side does it and no, you are not putting me in that basket, thank you. Tempers can and sometimes do fly high from some people and those situations are dealt with the best way they can be dealt with. Though, I must say, arguing over fair fights is a bit of a paradox since it's not a requirement that everyone play fair, nicely, and what not. I go by the simple 3:1 rule. I don't ever mind being outnumbered as long as there's at least a remote chance of victory. And if there ain't, oh, look at that, you can just retreat. These kind of argumentations have nothing to do with RP, so I don't know why you're all fighting. I never understood the "Oh I'm getting ganked! Whine!" mentality from both sides alike. Just... untwist those panties, please. Point of the matter is - the Colonial Remnant has never overwhelmed the enemy in a way that they have gone at sole fighters with capital ships or whatever. No, we won't make it a 100% even fight - no we won't. Because it's an RP absurdity that half the fleet will hold off while the other half gets killed off. Both sides had a chance of victory, one had it, one didn't, end of line. And as for IMG indies, we have absolutely nothing to do with them, because we're, guess what, not even the same faction. We can politely ask them to hold off to make it fairish, but they don't have to listen to us and I don't demand it of them. If the official IMG wants to tell them what to do, they can be my guest. And finally, apologies for the hot tempers of some of my colleagues, but you also have to understand that I won't just take your side and go against my own people just because I normally get angry for them using the "they did it, too" excuse. Yeah, I will tell them it's wrong, and I do and have always done that, and they do mostly agree with me. You've got to know that the faction you're complaining against won't just jump on the mudslinging bandwagon. I usually do try to settle things without seeming like my temper's hot, which I assure you is not, but people tend to get insulted, so apologies for that too. ' Wrote:I'm sorry, but this is a faction Feedback, not a personal brag-fest. I hope this is -not- the official way of handling criticism in the CR. And I heartily concur with this. Pavel, just keep it cool, please. I can't tell you what to do, but I can ask you politely like I'm doing now. The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Tabris - 01-19-2010 No offence is indended, i like alot of you guys (Dutch, Kaze especially), but sometimes both sides tend to go overboard. For example. CR once used 2 Gunboats to kill a Pair of Sabres when one would'v been sufficient. Yes sometimes we hire others to aid us in combat, but we'v been attempting to stand more on our own, we still hire indies however when independant IMG decide to ignore the agreement we made and attack Cartel ships. *Shrug* However sometimes WE go overboard and throw everything including the fridge at you guys, but you cannot say you have not done the same. *Shrug* Yes sometimes Cartel does a Gank, but that's because we think your an immense threat to our way of life and will do what it takes to remove it. But i'v been trying to tone it down as of late, going 1 on 1 with your fighters, like with Dutch and Kaze. (Who i enjoy RPing with btw) instead of panicking and throwing anything i can grab close to me at you. So try to take our excessive use of force as a compliment, normally it's SCRA who get's that reaction out of players. *Shrug* The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - swift - 01-19-2010 Well, that's kind of my point. I don't mind getting overpowered, as long as it's not something ludicrous like a battlecruiser on fighters. Some of the guys do mind getting "ganked", though I would not classify it as that, but I really don't mind a challenge. It's different when a challenge becomes cruelty, but I ain't talking about that right now. Anyways, don't sweat about making the fights -too- fair, just be sensible. That's at least what I try to do from this end. The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Armageddon - 01-19-2010 right well here is what i am going to say on the so called 'gank fests' from both sides. This is the only time i will make my point clear on this. Now if you enter tau 44 I can and will use overwhelming force against you. The same way when we used to be able to go into alpha we had most of the outcast fleet on us when we jumped in. I never complained about you defending your home. Now i suggest you do not complain about us defending ours. In tau 23 i will tend to try and keep the fights balanced. When i am online i try to keep the fight pretty equal. However do not expect it to be completely equal all of the time. The same way i do not expect it to be completely equal when i fight you. No offence intended but the so called 'gankings' just brush off me. Because i like a challenge. I do not go down the 'well they do it line'. I hope that this is taken on board and we attempt to equal fights from both sides here. Now fellas (referring to =CR=) do not be aggressive in answering criticism if you dont think you can answer it rationally let someone else who can do it in a rational manner do so. When you post here you represent the faction. Also just to add some of you posted some complaints against a =CR= pilot earlier i believe? well http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=58113 The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Quorg - 02-08-2010 ' Wrote:In tau 23 i will tend to try and keep the fights balanced. Here's a video to watch. Look, I understand the ganking. It is within the rules and within RP. It also makes sense considering how many times you've failed to catch me. However, do NOT pretend to care about balance if this is what you do. To summarize, it's okay to gank, but don't try to say that you don't do it. Oh and next time, please make a demand before you open fire. Thanks. The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - swift - 02-08-2010 If you're a transport, either way, you're ganked because transports can't really fight against pretty much anything. And when it concerns smugglers, different rules are afoot. We have never claimed we make it even for smugglers, because we don't, and it'd be stupid if we did. Honor among soldiers in opposite sides has a place of value among us (in-RP), and therefore we do tend to try and keep things sporty. As for smugglers, in-RP they indeed are something we try with all our might to squish under our boot. Smugglers most probably will not get much mercy, ever. They can drop their contraband or they can perish, really. There's perhaps a -bit- of wiggle room in-RP, but it's very hard for me to think of RP persuasive enough as to get a bunch of border patrol ships to just let a smuggler get away with his contraband. Edit: Not saying it's impossible, but nonetheless very unlikely. The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Atreides2 - 02-08-2010 We are fighting against the orange dream , by any means necessaries. If that means we have to destroy the traders , so be it , but we always asks the trader to stop , drop his contraband and then we let him go . However , i think that the patrol done exactly that , am i right ? They asked you to stop , yet you refused ( i think cause i was not there ) , you continued on impulse toward Cali. And if you saw the forces around you , why didn't you dropped it and in that way you would keep your ship and your crew alive ? Every smart captain of a smuggler ship would had dropped his cargo and then he would move along. anyway , is always fun when you come around the Tau 23 *smile* The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Panzer - 02-08-2010 I kinda wish I could disable the engines - as in... Shoot at them and make the targeted ship just stop. Instead of wasting time chatting while it drifts off slowly but steadily towards a safe haven. Takes time to kill one ya know... The Colonial Republic Feedback Thread - Chenzo- - 02-08-2010 OK You all know how much a hate Forum's? and you all know how much i Loath having to use them. But to some on here and see THIS DRIVEL, Really annoyes me. Generalisations are indeed sometimes True. the =CR= will sometimes when faced with a battleship or a spam of cruiser's against two or three fighters will run. Again it is true from time to time when the "Owner's" of the battleships/cruisers make it Very obvious through idiotic lolwuttery OORP, OOC Etc.. comment's on their traders, yes, they get ganked? You say why not take screenshots of such thing's and report them? Why bother getting all frustrated over one evening of being pvp ganked/sworn at/etc and then ruin that person's game for X ammount of time? i mean, we all swear? skype, in genneral when something bad hapens in life? i mean of course i am am not supporting any such actions.. just stating there is no actual point in sanction's. in the many faction post's i see on skype channels or alike-[like this thread came to my attention with a sanction report] it was all a joke to the one who posted it ? This to me states that it isant even because of rule breaking the sanction report was even posted, its simply because that sanctioning somone for many it seems is a "+1 and lol". This is pathettic. With reguards to all of you in the thread above..... your all a perfect example ofthis right here. Oh.. and you think i am one side'd? I Hapily RP both sides, and hear the absolute Horse manure from both sides. but then again, for most out there, when has it ever been about the RP ? Pinkeh out.. |
