While walking back to Eriksson, Druce, Gregory, Vincent and Matthew Sequoia tried to imagine the day after tomorrow. She never made long-going plans, never cared for the next day and never used to conjecture what the future will be like. She was happy with today, sad with today, used to cry the pillow wet with today, was drunk with today and even than she had a hangover only for tomorrow - but not for some distant time. Not caring about the future was what Sequoia found good for health and that way making her life somehow probably longer. You know, ladies who have a death warrant on their heads tend to be gone young and beautiful, much earlier than the day their breasts and buttocks stop being that elastic.

So, now she had a hard time imagining the consequences of this day and the other days that will follow. The one that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow - and the one who increases understanding won't be that happy too. Finally she was back, hesistating in her thoughts right in time to listen to Erik, who was getting ready to show the others some wall of text.

---

"You read my mind, Will", - Sequoia smiled and took the glasses full of ale for Sequoia and something Sequoia never saw before for Hikari, - "From today I know you are a quintessence of a gentleman".

And then she thought.

"Is what I think that easy to read on my facials expressions or do I have a little paranoia?"

*Jonah looked at Sequoia with a bedazzled look on his face. Finally,he stood up,walked over to her, whispered something in her ear and left the room in an obviously manufactured rush.*

Hikari smiles at Sequoia. Oh, it was nothing...Sorry for that.

She turned her attention to Will and smiled. Konichiwa, Will-san

She looks at the glass ment for her Uhm...What is that, Will-san? It doesn't look familiar to me...

Hikari stands up as a sign of respect to Sequoia and Will Please sit Sequoia-san, Will-san. Theres no point in standing and talking when theres good chairs going to waste...they're so comfortable...She sighs and takes a seat again

Will looks at the two glasses, looks back at Hikari "To be honest, I don't know. Bartender suggested it, said its for the newcomers. I doubt he would poison us" Will looks at Sequoia "He wouldn't, right?" Will takes a seat.

*Jonah re-enters the bar, furious and shaken. He sits on the corner table, takes out a sharp kukri, and takes one of his dreadlocks away with a clean swipe.Cursing under breath,he slowly removes all the beads from the lock of hair, and rushes out of the room.He returns a minute later and tosses a handful of beads into the trash compactor.*

Hikari thinks for a second.
Maybe its just something for us to get use to drinking the other beverages?

She takes her glass from Will carefully and holds onto it with both hands innocently, staring at it.
Is it drinkable?
She takes a tiny sip of it then puts the beverage down.
I don't know what to say to it...what is it made of, Sequoia-san?

She turns to Sequoia for the answer.

' Wrote:Gregory and Druce had rejoined the conversation to hear Eriksson talk about Corsair hostilities.

Gregory crossed his arms briefly, then brought his left hand to his face and stroked his upper lip.

"Lately we've been pondering the nature of our relationship with the Corsairs. People forget, we are still very young on the Sirius time scale. Parents and grandparents of the modern ecoterrorist were the original activists. They shouted 'Gaia will not bleed' in the streets, and hollowed out this rock. Their blood is fresh in our hearts and minds." Gregory paused and took a swig of Sequoia's water. Bloody hell, how do I always end up speaking in clichés. I must be going mad. He handed the glass back to Sequoia and continued.

"The Gaians have grown in influence over the last seventy-five years... but I wouldn't say we have fully matured. The original relationship between Gaians and Corsairs developed out of necessity, but things have changed since then. Many 'amateurs' have flocked to our cause, but the extra numbers are a double-edged sword. While strength is important in many of our anti-terra-'firming' operations, it has been difficult to maintain control over the Gaian movement. Traditionalists such as myself and Banger wonder whether these new recruits actually understand the Gaian ideals, or whether they are looking to fill their own pockets. Stealing from the people is not going to help free Gaia. NLH attacks are very specific in objectives.

"These contingents, whom we call the Neo-Gaians, seek to maintain an alliance with the Corsairs. I, for one, would not trade the Queen for a Council of Elders, nor an Emperor for that matter. The Corsairs have little to offer the Gaian movement anymore - and the same is vice-versa. They apparently attacked neighboring Zoner Freeports for being 'obsolete,' and I believe they will adopt a similar behavior against the Gaians.

"Corsairs are no longer worthy of our friendship, of that I am certain."

So, I think we came to a agreement then...

*Eriksson clears his throat*

Also, I took the liberty of uploading it to your datapad , Gregory, so you can easily edit it if you wish.

"Finally" - Sequoia demonstrative clapped to Eriksson a couple of times. She liked the way the whole meeting moved, but she nearly felt the draugh from the door and heared voices of people behind the door, those Cretans who may be ones of good old immigrants from Gran Canaria or the members of the fleet operatng around Bretonia. Who knows. Sequoia gulped down a lump in the throat and leaned on the back of the chair Druce was occupying.

---

"Errrm... I suppose it's a magic drink made of virgins' blood, unicorn's milk, Zoners' sobs and 40-years old whisky." - Sequoia tried to make a joke in reply while her attention was distracted from Hikari and Will by Jonah looking like he got zombies in his head. "Excuse me", - she stood up and strided to him.

The Green Hell Beergarden - Vizzini - 12-16-2010

"Blood, milk, Zoners and old whisky?" Will looks back at Hikari "And we were worried its something unusual" Will smiles and takes a sip. "Hey, it tastes quite alright"

Druce, after a long moment of going through the lines, silently brainstorming, his almost complete motionlessnes interrupted only by brief sips from his mead, looks into Eriksson's eyes for a second, then closes them and nods his head in agreement. Then he turns his head to Gregory and awaits his reaction.

- - - - -

Many moments passing, Druce returns to the spot he was with the others, noticing a few stray beads on the ground near the trash bin, and Sequoia with two other people talking something about the drink being made from Zoners, apart from other ingredients. Not really knowing them, but recalling their facec from their applications, walks up to them.

"Psst, dinnae trust th' lass. 'Tis not Zoners, but OSC chaps we pick up headin' ta Shetland" he grins and salutes with two fingers from his forehead to both of the new faces. "Th' names Druce. Welcome aboard!"
