A group of Coalition Marines dragged Evan out of Koniev's office. He could be heart screaming and cyring, begging for mercy before he was thrown out the airlock. His corpse was then used as target practice for the ship's gunners.
After hearing Forge's response, Koniev took another drag from his cigarette, and left it sitting in the corner of his lips before speaking
"You see, one of my jobs is to weed out idiots and spies. I'm not quite sure which category you fit into yet."
He grabbed the pistol and pointed it at Alex.
"Now, I'm going to ask you again, why are you and why are you here? Your cookie cutter responses are only leading me to believe you are either an idiot, or a poorly prepped spy. I have little tolerance for both."

Alex waited until the man was gone. "Was kinda hopin' you'd let me hit him." Alex stares right at Koniev. "To make a difference. With the Houses enfoiled in pointless wars and doing nothing to help the people, who else is doing anything? Just pirates and marauders making life worse. Last time I checked, the Liberty Navy was busy with Rheinland, Bretonia and Kusari duking it out. What happens meanwhile? You got people suffering. Thousands evacuated off Leeds...well, that might be good, thinking about how bad Leeds is. Transports attacked daily in Liberty. And Rheinland? One thought that seems radical, you're the enemy. Kusari. Women are not equal. I know a few chicks who could take down any KNF pilot on hand-to-hand. Bretonia? Those IAB guys, hiding behind callsigns and causing trouble for people." Alex paused. "The Coalition fights for a better future. For everyone, may they be some girl on New Tokyo to a miner on Pittsburgh. I want to help make a better future, where everyone is equal."

Doriano's expression turned slowly from an innocent smile, to grim and straight. His face betrayed no thought or emotion as he motioned Koslova over. She quickly jumped out of her chair, revolver in hand to the Major's desk, leaning over slightly towards the side of his chair. Doriano whispered something inaudible to the rest of the room's audience into the Lieutenant's ear.
As he spoke, his eyes darted before both of the women in front of his desk, and then behind them to his second assistant, whom nodded behind the back of both women.

Koniev rolled his eyes, finally breaking his stare.
"Do you know how many times I hear this same old story? It almost feels rehearsed. And you have still told me nothing about who you are, something that could have helped me overlook your naive view of Sirius and just exactly what the SCRA is."
He cocked the pistol.
"You've wasted my patience."
Koniev pulled the trigger. A loud bang echoed in the room as the bullet hit Forge in the forehead. The commissar took the cigarette from his mouth and set it on an ashtray sitting in his desk. He stood up, walked over to the corpse, and put two bullets into the applicant's heart, just to be on the safe side. All kinds of people were surviving head wounds these days.
He opened the door and yelled to the secretary to get a clean-up crew inside the office.

Doriano's eyes were focused on Lachina now, he almost seemed to be looking through her as he begin to speak, his tone ever the same, regardless of words or situation.

He spoke every word with emphasis to exercise his point,

Commissar-Captain Koniev stood by the door as a team dragged out Alex Forge's corpse, and hastily tried to clean up the blood on the bulkheads. They did a good enough job. Most of it was cleared up, yet there was a faint dark red stain on the floor indicating there was blood there not long ago.
"Next," he shouted into the waiting room, and sat back down at his desk.
